Japan Product Marketing Lead, Global Trade

We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to lead our Global Trade Portfolio in Japan.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving profitable growth and bringing full value to our customers through our ONESOURCE Global Trade portfolio propositions. Your expertise will be crucial in mobilizing and focusing our Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy to execute around key growth priorities, while representing the voice of the customer to ensure our solutions meet their evolving needs. You will also provide leadership and support to our solutions consultants and go-to-market experts to deliver sales targets.

About the Role

In this opportunity as an Japan Product Marketing Lead, Global Trade, you will:

  • Achieve gross and net sales, revenue and EBITDA targets for Japan Software portfolio
  • Undertake market opportunity analysis; work with sales, marketing and product team to translate insight into go-to-market priorities and execution plans
  • Build yearly growth strategy, defining key priorities and focus areas for organic development, acquisitions, partnerships and cross-border leverage
  • Work closely with Product Management, Technology, Strategy and Product Marketing teams to develop, maintain and publish product roadmaps, or manage team members to achieve this
  • Develop business cases for specific investments to drive new / enhance propositions
  • Own strategic marketing and thought leadership for the Japan Software portfolio, work closely with marketing teams to execute.
  • Own/Support Global Trade portfolio pricing strategy, go-to-market strategy, key areas of focus, launch and post-launch activities
  • Drive innovation and differentiation across the Japan Software portfolio to address current and future client needs
  • Work closely with other AEM software portfolio’s to support the needs of the customers in the Japan region
  • Support the solutions consultant team in the activities of solutions consultant, including ensuring that both global and Japan‑specific demonstration environments are properly maintained, reflect best‑in‑class functionality, can be tailored to current and future client needs, and are fully supported
  • Support the Japan Global Trade Sales team/Solutions Consultant team in a consistent practice/methodology of understanding customer requirements to solution to develop a suitable and strong proposal which can create difference from competitors
  • Assist in key retention situations, bringing domain expertise relevant to the customer – as agreed with the appropriate stakeholders
  • Act as an advocate for customer needs to the business and drive a challenger mindset with product and proposition to deliver outcomes for customers that exceed their expectations
  • Regular engagement with key customers and external events.

About You:

You’re a fit for the role of Japan Product Marketing Lead, Global Trade if you have the following required qualifications:

  • Industry experience preferred in the global trade compliance software industry.

  • Familiarity with global trade compliance software and regulations

  • Skilled at conflict resolution and problem-solving to achieve win-win outcomes
  • An outside-in focus: outstanding end-customer relationship skills
  • Experienced in Global Trade domain; a background in managing a range of skillsets and functional competencies preferred
  • Skilled at relentlessly prioritizing to drive customer market value while balancing all stakeholder input
  • Skilled at standardizing discovery, demonstration and value selling for complex sales
  • Skilled at bringing a global value proposition into region with localization
  • Skilled at building close relationships with sales, product and marketing leads as well as stakeholder management and persuasion – able to tailor strategies to a wide range of audiences
