- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience with a public accounting firm or industry with emphasis on cross border transactions.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Taxation, Accounting, or a Juris Doctor (J.D.).
- Solid understanding of and experience with the taxation of cross border transactions, tax treaties, and foreign tax credit rules.
- Ability to develop creative and practical solutions to ambiguous problems with limited legal precedent.
- Solid collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with and build relationships with cross-functional business partners at all levels.

The International Tax Planning Group is a team of US tax professionals dedicated to providing technical guidance and support to stakeholders in navigating the complex landscape of international taxation. Our primary objectives are to implement a wide range of business initiatives such as new product launches or investments in a tax efficient manner and to monitor, asses new tax legislation and implement policies and processes to ensure continued compliance with ever changing tax legislation in the US and globally.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $129,000-$191,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. - Ensure compliance with Google’s global withholding tax policies.
- Monitor developments in withholding tax legislation globally and adjust tax policies as necessary for continued compliance.
- Manage withholding tax compliance and documentation to avoid cases of double taxation.
- Analyze the applicability of foreign tax credit regulations to foreign taxes incurred by Google and assist with withholding tax audits.
- Provide tax technical guidance to Finance operations teams in order to leverage technology and automation to streamline withholding processes, enhance accuracy, and minimize risk.
