Product Manager III – InsurTech

Introduction to the Team:

The Product Team creates high-quality end-to-end experiences for travelers, partners, and Expedia Group. Our customer-first mindset focuses on developing products that encourage loyalty and repeat business from our travelers and partners. We partner closely with teams across Expedia Group to achieve growth and results for our customers and company.

Joining our InsurTech team, you will help provide confidence to book, peace of mind, and protection when the unexpected happens for millions of travelers globally. We achieve this through an innovative and customer-centric portfolio of insurance and financial protection products.

In this role, you will:

  • Own the end-to-end product strategy, roadmap, and go-to-market execution for portion of our traveler protection portfolio.
  • Drive product innovation by generating new ideas based on deep customer insights, data analysis, and continuous market research.
  • Translate high-level strategy into clear product requirements, partnering with engineering, design, and data science to deliver exceptional user experiences.
  • Execute rigorous, data-driven prioritization and continuous A/B testing, using insights to make decisive trade-offs and iterate at scale.
  • Expand our best-in-class insurance portfolio, innovating within a complex regulatory environment to improve discoverability and reduce cognitive load for customers.
  • Collaborate with account management teams and external suppliers to source and refine traveler-centric protection products.
  • Communicate effectively and influence at all levels, fostering alignment with partners and driving clear decisions in ambiguous situations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field; or equivalent related professional experience.
  • 4+ years of product management experience, successfully shipping and scaling customer-facing products.
  • Demonstrated technical acumen, with the ability to partner effectively with engineering teams on APIs, integrations, and architectural decisions.
  • Proficient in data analysis; you can define metrics, interpret results, and use insights to inform product strategy and trade-offs.
  • A bias for action and an execution-focused mindset, adept at translating concepts into testable products in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with a track record of building trust and driving alignment across cross-functional teams.
  • Understanding of P&L management and the financial drivers of the business.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a marketplace, fintech/insurtech, or e-commerce environment.
  • Experience integrating third-party supplier APIs and platforms.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools or SQL.

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $137,500.00 to $192,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $220,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
