    Position Overview

    Autodesk is seeking a motivated, experienced and highly skilled and motivated Senior Software Developer to lead the development of a robust end-to-end automation framework and actively contribute to feature development for our core platform. This role demands strong technical expertise in Cucumber (BDD), WebDriver IO, JavaScript, Java (Springboot), and ReactJS, along with a deep understanding of testing strategy, quality engineering, and agile product development.

    Responsibilities

    • Automation Design & Implementation: Design and implement a robust end-to-end test automation framework using Cucumber, Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) Jest/ RTL, and WebDriver IO framework

    • Automation Leadership: Lead automation initiatives to enhance test coverage, minimize manual testing, and ensure platform stability

    • Feature Development: Develop and maintain high-quality, secure, and scalable features utilizing JavaScript, ReactJS, and Java - Springboot

    • Collaboration: Work closely with QA, DevOps, and Product teams to define test strategies and acceptance criteria

    • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks in both feature development and test framework design

    • Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews and enforce coding standards to ensure code quality and maintainability

    • Incident Response: Actively support the on-call rotation for production incident response, ensuring the high availability of our systems

    • Ideal candidate would be one with skillsets of QA, Automation, including a mix of technical abilities like programming (Java/ Kotlin, JavaScript, Python), framework design, and knowledge of CI/CD pipelines,

    • Knowledge on AWS, AI/ML and Cloud based web application is good to have.

    • Essential soft skills such as critical thinking, analytical problem-solving, and strong communication is required along with an understanding of Software Development Life Cycles.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)

    • Experience: A minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in building and maintaining complex, scalable software applications

    • Technical Proficiency: Proven experience in designing and building automation frameworks with Cucumber (BDD) and WebDriver IO. Strong expertise in JavaScript and Java, and professional experience using ReactJS or JavaScript

    • API Development: Experience in building and testing RESTful APIs and web applications

    • Cloud Knowledge: Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS

    • Communication: Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration skills
