Job Details
Are you a logistics professional ready to apply your supply chain experience in a high-impact technology role?
Thomson Reuters is seeking an Implementation Specialist to join our TMS team, helping bridge transportation technology and day-to-day freight operations. In this role, you'll support implementations of the ONESOURCE Pagero TMS solution - partnering with freight buyers to improve transportation workflows and helping onboard carriers to grow our network ecosystem.
This is a great opportunity for a logistics professional who enjoys problem-solving, likes client-facing work, and wants to build implementation skills while applying real transportation knowledge. You'll work with a portfolio of global clients, translating freight management needs into practical configurations and outcomes.
About the Role
As an Implementation Specialist, you will:
- Support TMS implementations for freight buyers by configuring the platform to fit their shipping workflows, carrier requirements, and operational processes
- Assist with onboarding and integrating carriers into the network to ensure smooth connectivity between buyers and transportation partners
- Contribute as a logistics subject matter resource on cross-functional projects by helping translate business needs into clear system requirements
- Partner with clients across the implementation lifecycle - from discovery and design through configuration, testing, and go-live support
- Help troubleshoot configuration and workflow challenges related to routing rules, carrier connectivity, rate setups, and shipment visibility
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Support to deliver end-to-end transportation management solutions
- Create and maintain implementation documentation (requirements notes, test cases, training materials) and help keep projects on track
About You
You're a strong fit for this role if you have:
- Logistics/Transportation background: 1–3 years of experience in freight management, supply chain operations, transportation planning, or carrier operations
- TMS exposure: Experience using or supporting a Transportation Management System (TMS) and/or transport administration (TA) tools
- Industry knowledge: Familiarity with freight buying processes, carrier networks, shipping workflows, rate concepts, and logistics compliance
- Technical aptitude: Familiarity with APIs (REST/SOAP), digital data flows, and ideally SQL or basic scripting
- Implementation mindset: Background in software configuration, system integrations, or IT project delivery
- Client-facing skills: Ability to train users, present solutions, and resolve customer issues professionally
- Communication: Excellent English skills (Swedish is a plus)
Preferred:
- Exposure to EDI or carrier integration protocols
- Familiarity with e-invoicing or AP/AR-related logistics processes or compliance requirements in EU/APAC markets
- Background in supply chain systems and process improvement
What Makes This Role Unique?
This isn't a traditional logistics role, and it's not purely technical - it's the intersection of both. You'll use your transportation knowledge daily while building hands-on experience in software implementations, working with clients to improve freight operations through technology.
