    Position Overview

Join us as a Software Development Manager and help shape the future of the Reality Capture Product Line Group in Singapore. You’ll be instrumental in leading and forming new Scrum teams focused on developing cutting-edge technologies that bridge the physical and digital worlds. Our team transforms real-world data—such as 3D laser scans, drone imagery, and photogrammetry—into intelligent digital models that power workflows across architecture, engineering, construction, and infrastructure.

We specialize in large-scale point cloud processing, intelligent mesh generation, automated feature extraction, and seamless integration with industry-leading design tools like Revit, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD. By enabling customers to capture, analyze, and collaborate with real-world data, we drive efficiency, sustainability, and innovation in how projects are designed, built, and maintained.

As a Software Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in how we design, build, and deliver products to millions of professionals worldwide. You’ll manage a cross-functional team focused on developing and maintaining software across a range of products and components, including sustainability insights. We’re looking for an aspiring leader and strong communicator with a balanced skill set in people management, technical expertise, and project leadership. If you’ve led agile teams in a scaled environment, know how to nurture talent, champion best practices, foster open collaboration, and guide high-performing teams toward delivering impactful solutions—this is your opportunity to make a difference.

    Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with your team to understand requirements, evaluate new features, and drive technology roadmap decisions

    • Engage proactively with customers and internal stakeholders to align on project goals and requirements

    • Promote open/inner source development models to foster collaboration across Autodesk

    • Partner with other teams to achieve cross-organizational objectives

    • Lead hiring and onboarding efforts to build a strong engineering team

    • Plan and manage successful software development releases

    • Monitor team performance to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery

    • Provide professional coaching, set clear goals, foster a feedback culture, and support the growth of talented engineers

    • Inspire and motivate team members to maximize productivity and creativity.

    • Champion Autodesk’s culture and values

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Master’s degree (preferred) or Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in Computer Science or a related technical field

    • 3+ years of experience leading software engineering teams or serving in roles such as Scrum Master

    • Proven experience across the full software development lifecycle—from requirements analysis to delivery

    • Strong track record managing complex software projects with multiple dependencies

    • Experience in enterprise-level product development, delivery, and agile methodologies

    • Demonstrated success in hiring and onboarding engineering talent

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to set goals, provide feedback, and foster a positive team culture

    • Business-level proficiency in English

    Prefer Qualifications

    • Strong architectural and technical design competence, with the ability to review and guide engineering decisions across services, applications, and systems

    • Deep understanding of modern software engineering practices, including software design principles, coding standards, test methodologies, and quality assurance best practices

    • Practical experience with SDLC methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Kanban) and the ability to select and apply the right process based on team and project needs

    • Demonstrated ability to lead teams through complex technical delivery—evaluating feasibility, identifying dependencies, and guiding risk mitigation and trade-off decisions

    • Experience designing or reviewing system architectures that emphasize maintainability, scalability, security, and alignment with product and platform roadmaps

    • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps workflows, automation tooling, and modern development ecosystems to support high velocity, high quality engineering output

    • Ability to provide informed leadership in technical discussions, mentor engineers in design and implementation, and collaborate effectively with architects and technical leads

    • Experience working with cloud connected, distributed, or enterprise grade software systems

    • Strong discipline around documentation of technical specifications, design artifacts, test plans, and release processes
