Skills and Competencies

Required

  • 5-10 years of experience in product management, solution development, or technical consulting role with demonstrated fluency in AI-assisted development.
  • Experience working with government or public sector customers.
  • Structured, analytical mindset with ability to break down customer needs into clear milestones.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive a solution from requirements to delivery and iteration.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, value-based messaging for non-technical and senior audiences.
  • Hands-on experience with data-driven platforms, analytics solutions, or enterprise software.
  • Understanding of large language models (LLMs) and generative AI concepts, including AI agents, prompt engineering, context management and model context protocol (MCP).
  • Demonstrated hands-on proficiency with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity; ability to shift priorities as market or customer needs evolve.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across Sales, Product, Engineering, and Strategy teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred

  • Familiarity with public-sector missions such as financial administration, economic development, security and intelligence, social services, or regulatory oversight.
  • Bachelor's/Master's/PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Business or a related field.
  • Experience building or shaping AI-powered or data-driven solutions.
  • Background in risk, compliance, sanctions screening, due diligence, or decision-support platforms.
  • Experience with rapid prototyping, design sprints, or product development approaches.
  • Experience working in a matrixed, global organization.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the lifecycle of government-specific capabilities across Moody's AI agent and data platform portfolio, this role involves defining, demonstrating, building, and shipping solutions tailored to public sector missions.

It reflects how product management is evolving at Moody's. AI is at the heart of the work, from rapid prototyping with tools like Cursor and Claude Code to shaping intelligent features that change how government clients interact with data and analytics. The line between product and engineering is thinning, and this role leans into that shift.

Working directly in squads with engineers and domain experts, the focus is on translating government missions into shipped capabilities. The role also collaborates closely with Sales, Channel Partnerships, and Government Commercial Strategy teams, ensuring that solution decisions are informed by market signals, partner requirements, and customer feedback, and that what gets built aligns with go-to-market priorities and delivery channel realities across regions.

Solution Design & Customer Engagement

  • Lead the solution roadmap for government-specific capabilities, including AI agents for investigation, sanctions screening, and due diligence for public-sector entities.
  • Partner with pre-sales on customer engagements, leading technical discovery sessions, solution workshops, and whiteboarding discussions to understand government missions, workflows, and operational challenges. Translate these into prioritized product specifications.
  • Use AI tools such as Cursor and Claude Code to rapidly prototype solutions, validate hypotheses, demonstrate feasibility and accelerate delivery.
  • Partner with engineering to scope, build, and ship features, maintaining accountability for delivery timelines and quality.

 Solution Discovery & Validation

  • Drive solution discovery for government use cases through direct customer engagement, POCs, and design sprints that validate fit before committing engineering resources.
  • Develop and deliver tailored demonstrations and solution narratives that articulate value to government audiences.
  • Translate market signals, customer insights, and regulatory requirements into actionable product priorities, partnering with Strategy and Commercial teams who surface these inputs.
  • Ensure responsible AI deployment practices, governance documentation, and compliance standards specific to government requirements.

Delivery & Iteration

  • Lead solution delivery from concept through production, working embedded with engineering teams rather than handing off requirements.
  • Monitor solution performance, usage metrics, and customer outcomes for government deployments, iterating based on data.
  • Document solution architectures, configurations, and best practices to enable repeatability and scale across public-sector customers.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Champion the AI-First mindset across the government segment, identifying opportunities to embed AI into workflows and helping colleagues adopt new ways of working.
  • Align with Government Commercial Strategy on delivery channel requirements, market intelligence, and go-to-market priorities.
  • Work with Channel Sales Partnerships and partner ecosystem to ensure solution capabilities meet partner-led deal requirements.
  • Provide domain expertise on government missions, procurement realities, and regulatory constraints to broader solution builder teams.

About the team

You will join the C&G Product Builders team, which unites product vision with engineering excellence to deliver solutions across Moody's client base, including corporate and government. The team builds end-to-end, from data to AI agents and customer-facing analytics, operating in squads that own the full lifecycle from solution concept to production. For the government segment, you will partner closely with sales, channel partnerships, and government commercial strategy to translate public-sector missions into shipped capabilities. With strong growth mandate and global reach, the team offers a dynamic environment where rapid solution prototyping, deep technical collaboration, and ownership define how we work.
