​NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Technical Inspector.

The Technical Inspector is responsible for inspecting vehicles to assure compliance with specified series guidelines for competitors and directing competitors in proper procedures for participating in race events.  

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with the technical inspection team to verify race vehicle compliance with NASCAR rules and regulations.

  • Perform assigned inspection duties from initial through post-race at designated inspection stations.

  • Document inspection results and infractions using the Mobile Inspection Application.

  • Assist with daily setup and teardown of inspection areas, including assembly, disassembly, and storage of technical equipment. 

  • Maintain inspection equipment to prevent damage and ensure readiness for future events.

  • Utilize standard computer technology (keyboard, mouse, Windows-based applications) effectively.

  • Support Research & Development personnel as requested, including assistance with Roamer arm operations and impounded equipment evaluation.

  • Assist with vehicle transportation, as well as loading and unloading haulers.

  • Provide support for traffic control, crowd control, and credential verification during events.

  • Officiate on pit road or in other assigned areas using applicable technology.

  • Apply and enforce race procedures for practice, qualifying, and race events in a consistent, timely, and professional manner.

  • Maintain clear communication with assigned crew chiefs and Race Control.

  • Perform all duties with professionalism, authority, and strong attention to detail.

  • Approximate travel 90%

Required skills/experience:    

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  

  • Proficient in all Company software and hardware.

  • Valid Driver License

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions.

  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, in alignment with the race schedule and event calendar.

  • Dependable and punctual, with a commitment to fulfilling assigned shifts and responsibilities according to the race schedule and event calendar.
