Nestlé USA, Inc. seeks multiple Sr Manager TAG (Technical Application Group) in Fremont, MI
Duties: Responsible for the Healthy Snacks category and acts as a strategic partner in developing and implementing the Innovation & Renovation (I&R) business strategy for the supported markets. Ensure the successful delivery of I&R projects and drive improvement initiatives. Implement the Innovation and Renovation Strategy for the Healthy Snacks Category in the market, enabling the delivery of Technical & Production initiatives and market business strategies through oversight of Product Development, Packaging, and Process Engineering deliverables. Collaborate with R&D, Operations, Marketing, and other corporate functions to ensure seamless execution of project pipelines. Guide Innovation and Renovation projects from concept to commercialization, ensuring safety, stability, and legality. Demonstrate leadership by influencing scope, design basis, success criteria, timelines, resource needs, critical assumptions, and risk analysis. Develop, coach, and manage direct reports, actively monitoring all aspects of professional development plans and performance. Ensure adherence to all product, process, and material standards in accordance with Nestlé requirements. Drive continuous improvement of current products and processes within factories to ensure supply and meet business needs. Provide first-line support to factories, utilizing in-depth knowledge in science and engineering, advanced problem-solving skills, and an awareness of business priorities to achieve stated results. Foster product and process mastership within the Technical Application Group, developing and maintaining the proficiency required to unlock operational excellence. Prioritize and allocate resources to meet project requirements, ensuring effective task management and budget management across all work streams. Domestic and international travel required up to 30% of time. Telework permitted up to 2 days per week.
Requirements:
Job requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Food Science, Food Process Engineering, Food Technology or a related field plus 10 years of experience in the job offered or in a food technology role within the Consumer-Packaged Food and Beverage industry. Required experience must include all of the following:
- 10 years of experience developing new products, processes, and technologies within the Consumer Packaged Food and Beverage industry;
- 5 years of end-to-end experience in product development within the consumer packaged food and beverage industry;
- 5 years of experience in packaging, product design, and food manufacturing processes;
- 3 years of experience in scaling up, commissioning, and commercializing food products;
- 3 years of experience in technical project management utilizing stage-gate process;
- 2 years of experience in thermal process validation of food products; and
- 2 years of experience in leading teams and direct reports.
Domestic and international travel required up to 30% of time. Telework permitted up to 2 days per week.
