Job Description

The Procurement Lead – Operations Procurement Business Enablement Team (Associate Director) is responsible for a broad range of activities that directly support Operations Site Procurement teams. Facilitates global execution of key activities and programs supporting end-to-end procurement processes; lead identification and implementation of process efficiencies for data and order management support for Site Procurement team.. This role collaborates with Regional and Site Procurement Managers to ensure data management/accuracy; alignment to site and category strategies, maintaining compliance with procurement policies, and administering continuous improvement initiatives. Role also manages resources to identify and delivery cross site value opportunities,

Major Responsibilities:

  • Lead and implement consistent procurement processes supporting global sites, including direct material site order management, and supplier on-boarding.
  • Ensure aligned execution of site and category strategy within assigned remit, as defined by Site Procurement Management, coordinating to execute initiatives targeting value realization.
  • Ensures compliance of procurement policy and team activities to business requirements of supplier diversity and sustainability, overseeing day-to-day processes and communicating insights to senior procurement leadership.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative approach to stakeholder interactions.
  • Maintain excellence in all execution activities. Develop and implement strategies to identify inefficiencies in process design and execution.
  • Guide the execution of continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with the PSC team, overseeing the adoption of new processes and providing feedback and guidance to PMO stakeholders.
  • Lead and nurture a team of Specialists, setting ambitious performance targets, providing tailored coaching, and evaluating team performance, site aligned Procurement support for global site needs (manufacturing and R&D site)
  • Partner with  leaders and business partners to define skillsets, workforce requirements, capability needs, and long-term organizational staffing goals

Qualifications

  • Broad-based expertise in implementing procurement processes, including source-to-contract planning and financial analysis, ensuring strategic and informed procurement decisions.
  • Vast experience tailoring processes to meet business needs.
  • Strong capacity and experience building and managing collaborative relationships, aligning procurement activities with business needs.
  • Innovative problem-solving skills combined with a solution-oriented mindset, enabling creative approaches and influential communication at all organizational levels.
  • High cross-functional collaboration abilities and teamwork skills, effectively navigating and coordinating diverse team dynamics.
  • Strong soft skills and emotional intelligence, facilitating empathetic interactions, effective communication, and robust relationship-building.
  • Impactful executive functioning abilities and autonomous work ethic, maintaining efficient performance in challenging situations and building consensus in decision-making.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Mgmt or related field. Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or related business or operations function.
  • Experience leading procurement teams and collaborating with senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry is preferred.

Site Procurement Management  (Regional and Site Leads), Ops Procurement Leadership, Business Partners, Category Leads/Managers, Procurement Strategy & Capabilities Office
