Job Description

The AMI & Clinical Specialist (CS) Manager is responsible for leading, developing, and structuring the Clinical Specialist function in the Benelux to ensure high quality clinical support and strong execution of the Allergan Medical Institute (AMI) strategy in the field.

This role drives the operational and organizational performance of the Clinical Specialist team, contributes to the adaptation of AMI priorities to the needs of the Benelux market, and ensures that educational initiatives effectively support customer engagement, capability building, and business objectives.

The position also supports and manages local faculties, ensuring strong engagement, appropriate preparation, and high quality delivery of educational activities, and owns the planning and execution of AMI educational events in the market.

The role combines people leadership, operational excellence, and strategic field insight, ensuring high standards of execution, full compliance with local regulations, and strong alignment with cross functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Clinical Specialist Team Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 2 Clinical Specialists, ensuring high performance and continuous skills development.
  • Define priorities, manage schedules, and oversee field deployment to optimize customer support and educational impact.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and identify training needs.
  • Ensure consistent application of AMI standards, clinical protocols, and best practices across the team.

2. Operational Excellence & Process Implementation

  • Design, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for Clinical Specialist activities.
  • Develop tools, dashboards, and KPIs to monitor field performance, resource utilization, and customer engagement.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of field activities and contribute to data driven decision making.
  • Optimize workflows for the distribution, tracking, and management of educational materials and clinical resources.

3. AMI Events Management

  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Oversee the end‑to‑end management of AMI educational and promotional events, including major congresses, university diploma programs, and local workshops.
  • Team Integration: Coordinate Clinical Specialist involvement in events, ensuring optimal preparation, role clarity, and consistent delivery of AMI standards.
  • Administrative & Financial Oversight: Manage contracts, compliance approvals, and event‑related budget tracking.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as the primary liaison with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Medical, Compliance) and external vendors (event agencies, venues).
  • Post‑Event Optimization: Lead debriefs, performance analysis, and continuous improvement of event processes and educational impact.

4. AMI Educational Strategy Execution

  • Coordinate with the AMI Lead, Sales, Marketing, and Medical teams to ensure alignment between field activities and the AMI educational strategy.
  • Oversee the deployment of AMI programs, tools, and training content used by Clinical Specialists.
  • Guarantee the scientific and educational quality of materials delivered in the field.

5. Cross Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Medical, Compliance) to ensure seamless execution of AMI initiatives.
  • Provide field insights to support strategic planning, content development, and continuous improvement of AMI programs.
  • Act as a key point of contact for operational and clinical coordination.

6. Compliance & Quality Assurance

  • Ensure all Clinical Specialist activities strictly adhere to local regulations, industry codes of conduct, and internal compliance requirements.
  • Oversee the approval process for clinical and educational materials used in the field.
  • Promote a culture of ethical behavior and regulatory excellence within the team.

Qualifications

  • Leadership & People Management: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a field‑based team.
  • Clinical & Educational Expertise: Strong understanding of clinical practices in aesthetics and the needs of healthcare professionals.
  • Event Management: Experience in planning and executing educational or promotional events.
  • Operational Rigor: Ability to design processes, implement SOPs, and manage performance indicators.
  • Project Management: Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent proficiency in Dutch, and English. (French is a plus)
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of compliance frameworks and regulations in the pharmaceutical/aesthetic industry.
  • Proactivity & Problem‑Solving: High level of autonomy, initiative, and analytical thinking.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
