We’re seeking someone with more than 12+ years of relevant experience to join our Centralized Management Projects team as a Project Manager/Product Owner (Vice President) in Finance Division.
In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm’s financial and capital resources. This is a Vice President level position within the Portfolio & Change Management team.
The Finance Centralised Management project team is responsible for managing a considerable percentage of Finance’s technology spend, helping to deliver across a portfolio of projects including, Finance Data Warehouse, Regulatory Capital, Leverage and Reporting, Financial Accounting and General Ledger renovation. The team is also front and centre of the technology architecture discussions. The team supports Global and local regulatory driven initiatives across Financial and Capital Reporting including Basel 3, Capital Calculators, FED, SEC, PRA & EBA reporting initiatives as well firm level initiatives for better data souring & data quality.

Role requires candidate to manage a stream of finance data warehouse projects by documenting requirements in the form of user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and liaising with end users to obtain sign off. The candidate is expected to lead a team of Business Analysts/ Testing Team supporting Project implementation and manage stakeholders providing timely Project updates.
What you'll do in the role:
Product Owner in Finance Data Warehouse BAU reporting models working on analysis of new data tables, refactoring datamarts and maintaining existing Power BI dashboards
Manage end-to-end delivery by maintaining agile boards, analysis, testing and postproduction validations.
Detailed analysis of financial products (Loans, Derivatives, SFTs etc.) for identification of KDEs on data model view.
Manage implementations from analysis to testing to deployment to post-production checkout, write and execute test cases & scripts for functional and regression testing and maintain user documentation.
Conduct business analysis reviews to validate that system changes comply with regulatory requirements.
Liaison with Clients and IT colleagues to identify new requirements, create user stories and track prioritization and remediation.
Develop collaborative relationships with a squad working across different departments and regions.
Run Squad/Fleet Agile ceremonies providing updates and reporting for Clients and Senior Management.
Manage a team of business analysts working on projects aligned to finance data warehouse
Communicate and escalate to line management as appropriate.
Adhere to the Firm’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls
Act as a culture carrier; embody the Firm's values and hold yourself accountable to Firm standards
What you'll bring to the role:
Proven experience of managing complex projects as either Product Owner or Project Manager capacity in investment banking domain
Subject Matter Expertise within existing Morgan Stanley role or peers in the Financial Services Industry. Experience in any of Capital Reporting, Basel III/Basel IV requirements for Capital Adequacy, BCBS239 Compliance, Capital Ratio Calculations, or Regulatory Reporting Projects for US/EMEA region.
Strong understanding of Trade Life Cycle across Asset Classes with good hands-on knowledge of financial products like Derivatives, Loans, Fixed income, SFTs.
Excellent organisational skills with an ability to manage to tight deadlines whilst balancing multiple priorities.
Highly numerate with an attention to detail and accuracy, coupled with strong analytical and documentation skills.
Experience of data modelling and investigation with the ability to identify issues, develop and implement practical solutions.
Ability to understand and evaluate processes and key controls. Experienced in implementing change effectively to improve existing processes.
Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) and ability to liaise with colleagues/clients of all levels.
Self-motivated with the ability to work consistently and efficiently to achieve goals either as an individual or as part of a team.
Proficiency in data visualization tools like Power BI and Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Visio and Teams).
Experience of investigating, summarising and presenting results in a meaningful format to clients and Senior Management.
Adequate experience dealing with senior stakeholders (Executive Director and above) and running regular forums with senior stakeholders
Experience of managing a team and mentoring them for career progression, performance evaluation.
