The Senior Solutions Consultant – Global Trade Management is primarily responsible for communicating the overall strategic, operational, and technical value of ONESOURCE Global Trade to prospective clients. Working closely with sales, marketing, product, and product marketing teams, you will be a key driver of new business revenue by translating complex trade compliance challenges into compelling solution narratives that resonate at every level of a client organization.
About the Role
As a Senior Solutions Consultant – Global Trade Management, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales by showcasing the value of our global trade management solutions to prospective clients. You will combine deep product knowledge with exceptional sales and communication skills to understand client needs, craft compelling proposals, and close deals.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand client requirements and develop tailored global trade management solutions that address their specific import/export, compliance, and supply chain challenges.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of client business processes to identify pain points and demonstrate how ONESOURCE Global Trade can deliver significant, measurable value.
- Prepare and deliver professional presentations and product demonstrations to C-level executives and key stakeholders, effectively communicating our product proposition.
- Lead technical and functional discussions during the sales cycle, addressing client questions and concerns around trade compliance, HS classification, FTA optimization, duty management, and export controls with expertise.
- Articulate how ONESOURCE integrates compliance and connectivity along with over 215 countries' comprehensive and daily-updated regulatory content into one global platform.
- Develop and articulate clear innovation strategies that align our solutions with client objectives, including risk mitigation, supply chain savings, and regulatory compliance.
- Engage in skillful negotiation to secure favorable terms and close complex deals.
- Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with prospective and existing clients, converting them into reference clients and advocates of the ONESOURCE platform.
- Contribute to thought leadership and marketing efforts by providing insights into market needs, product positioning, and industry trends.
- Regularly speak at industry events and trade shows, present solutions, and provide demos to prospects at senior levels.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor offerings, and advancements in web-based technology relevant to global trade management.
- Utilize sales technology and CRM systems effectively to manage the sales process and track progress.
About You
- Proven experience in a solution consulting, pre-sales, trade compliance, or similar role, preferably within global trade management, customs, supply chain, or a related industry.
- Strong understanding of business processes related to international trade, including import/export management, HS classification, free trade agreements, duty management, and export controls.
- Demonstrated ability to help clients meet international trade compliance challenges with confidence, leveraging expert trade data and up-to-date compliance requirements.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills — articulate, passionate, and knowledgeable with the ability to evangelize our products.
- Demonstrated ability to close deals and consistently deliver value to clients throughout the sales cycle.
- Equally comfortable engaging with clients at Partner or C-Level as with front-line users and administrators.
- Experience developing and presenting compelling product propositions and innovation strategies.
- Analytical and creative, with the ability to design solutions to solve complex international trade and business problems.
- Proficiency with sales technology and CRM systems.
- Familiarity with web-based, cloud technology and its application in enterprise trade and compliance solutions.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Law, or a related field.
