Recruiting for this role ends on 6/30/2026

Work you'll do

As a Total Rewards Benefits Operate Senior Consultant, you will support work by contributing to Health & Welfare (H&W) benefits administration implementations and enabling a smooth transition to ongoing operations. This role is hands-on: gathering and translating requirements, supporting solution design and testing, coordinating with integration and payroll teams, and helping drive operational readiness.

You will bring practical H&W marketplace knowledge, understand common benefits administration capabilities across traditional rewards provider platforms, and have a foundational understanding of how HCM platforms integrate with rewards programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support end-to-end Health & Welfare (H&W) implementation activities including discovery, requirements, design support, testing preparation/execution, cutover planning support, and go-live stabilization.
  • Document H&W plan rules and administration requirements (e.g., eligibility, enrollment, life events, EoI, deductions, billing, carrier/vendor feeds, reporting).
  • Build and maintain key implementation artifacts (requirements traceability, decision logs, RAID logs, status updates, implementation schedules).
  • Advise on end-to-end H&W administration capabilities across traditional provider platforms (e.g., enrollment experience, rules engines, eligibility, communications, carrier connectivity).
  • Support operational process design (exception handling, case processes, reconciliation, member experience touchpoints).
  • Assist with test planning and execution for integrations and deductions (test scenarios, test data, defect triage, results documentation).
  • Help identify and escalate risks tied to data quality, timing, and payroll close dependencies
  • Develop or support creation of readiness artifacts (SOP drafts, RACI inputs, escalation paths, training/job aids, service metrics).
  • Support hypercare activities: issue tracking, root cause analysis support, communication to stakeholders, and documentation of fixes.
  • Partner effectively with client stakeholders across Total Rewards, HR, HRIT, Payroll, Finance, and vendors.

The Team

Our Insights, Innovation & Operate Offering is designed to enhance key aspects of our clients' businesses by leveraging cutting-edge technology, data, and a blend of deep technical and human expertise. We innovate and deliver creative, industry-specific solutions that streamline operations and accelerate speed-to-value.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of experience in health and welfare benefits administration in implementation, operations, optimization, or vendor/provider environments
  • 4+ years of experience supporting eligibility, enrollment, life events, deductions, vendor feeds, or reconciliations in a benefits administration environment
  • 3+ years of experience supporting Human Capital Management or payroll integration activities for benefits administration, including data flows, timing, file-based exchanges, or application programming interface exchanges
  • 3+ years of experience preparing client-facing presentations, status updates, or deliverables using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, or data visualization platform
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
  • Ability to travel 0-50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in one or more Human Resources or benefits disciplines, such as Certified Employee Benefit Specialist, Professional in Human Resources, Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional, or comparable certification
  • 5+ years of experience supporting or leading health and welfare benefits change initiatives, including implementation, process redesign, communications, stakeholder readiness, or adoption activities
  • 3+ years of experience supporting operational transition activities for benefits administration, including stabilization, hypercare, standard operating procedures, training materials, or service-level metrics
  • 3+ years of experience using project delivery tools or methods, including workplans, risk, action, issue, and decision logs, requirements traceability, or collaboration tools

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $118,700-$218,600.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.

Possible Locations: Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Costa Mesa, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Hartford, Houston, Indianapolis, Jacksonville, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, McLean, Miami, Minneapolis, Morristown, Nashville, New Orleans, New York, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Portland, Raleigh, Richmond, Sacramento, San Antonio, San Diego, San Francisco, San Jose, Seattle, St. Louis, Stamford, Tampa, and Tempe
