Team/Role Overview
Senior Business Analyst within Payments OPS Transformation & Operational Readiness plays key role in the product development, operational processes transformation, enhancements to existing infrastructure, regulatory compliance and client experience, including strong focus on the operational efficiencies, Manual touch points elimination, STP increase and risks reduction
This role would suit a self-starting individual, who is keen to work both independently and as a team player, having the ability to be completely adaptable to changing business requirements and deliverables. The role will require the individual to work as a member of a global team of Analysts, based in Poland, & India, cooperating with the various stakeholder groups, including, but not limited to Services Operations, Product, Reconciliation Unit, Client Service, Traders, Technology & Developers
What you’ll do
As a key member of the Services Payments Operations Transformation team, your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
- Operations Process Analysis: Collaborate with Services Operations teams to identify and integrate relevant data sources (e.g., system logs, transaction data, performance metrics, workflow data) into analysis platforms to gain comprehensive insights into operational performance
- Operational Cost Reduction: Identify opportunities to reduce operational costs through process optimization, technology adoption, and resource management
- Operational Requirements Definition: Provide input on operational requirements to development teams to ensure new features are designed with operational efficiency and supportability in mind.
- Quantification and Reporting: Develop and maintain metrics to quantify operational savings (MTPs, HC, cost) and report on progress to stakeholders
- Test Case Validation: Review existing test cases developed by QA/development teams to ensure comprehensive coverage of operational scenarios
- PVT Scenario Definition: In cooperation with affected operational areas, define comprehensive Performance Validation Testing (PVT) scenarios to simulate real-world operational loads and conditions.
- Execution Oversight: Provide oversight and guidance during the execution of PVT performed by respective OPS teams, ensuring adherence to defined scenarios and proper data collection.
- Launch Readiness: Develop and implement operational launch plans for new functionalities, including training materials, support documentation, monitoring dashboards, and incident response procedures.
- Post-Launch Support: Provide ongoing operational support and performance monitoring post-commercialization, gathering feedback and driving continuous improvement.
What we’ll need from you
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Experience in any or all of Cross border payment processing and repairs, SWIFT standards, ISO 20022 XML messages, ACH payment processing, clearing and settlement schema, Nostro reconciliation and payment processing involving automated FX, AML, Sanctions screening, payment regulations including PSD2, EU FTR & Travel Rule is preferable
- Experience using Jira and working knowledge of Scrum / Kanban methodologies is preferable
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks, especially in documentation and data handling.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving: Problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
- Stakeholder management: Handle routine internal partner requests and escalate non-routine queries.
- Adaptability: Adaptability and resilience to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where priorities can frequently shift.
- Technical proficiency: Intermediate Excel skills (lookups, pivots) and working knowledge of PowerPoint and AI Tools
- Language: Fluent in written and verbal English
