Skills and Competencies
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Benefits Operations or Total Rewards, with significant global scope; strong U.S. benefits expertise highly preferred
- Proven track record managing global benefits delivery, including leave of absence management and regulatory compliance.
- Experience working in regulated environments is a plus
- Proficiency in additional languages is a strong plus for global collaboration and communication
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and engage teams across geographies
- Demonstrated curiosity and forward-thinking mindset, with experience or interest in applying AI to enhance efficiency and employee experience
- Excellent vendor management and negotiation skills, with proven ability to build and sustain strong partnerships
- Solid project management and process improvement expertise; experience implementing and optimizing HR technologies
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills
- Commitment to documentation excellence and maintaining audit-ready processes
- Collaborative, inclusive leadership style with a focus on service excellence
Education
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or certification in HR, Business, or related field preferred
Responsibilities
The VP – Benefits Operations and Delivery will lead the global execution of Moody’s employee benefits programs, with a strong emphasis on operational excellence, employee experience, and compliance. This role focuses on benefits delivery and oversees global programs including Health and Wellness, Savings and Retirement, Life and Disability Insurance, and Work-Life Balance benefits.
- Lead Moody’s global benefits operations and delivery team, ensuring consistent, high-quality employee experiences across all regions
- Oversee the full spectrum of programs including Health and Wellness, Savings and Retirement, Life and Disability Insurance, and Work-Life Balance offerings
- Ensure accurate and seamless day-to-day benefits administration, including open enrollment, leave of absence management, and employee inquiries.
- Maintain audit-ready processes, SOP documentation, and compliance with global and local regulations, including U.S. benefits laws and social benefits reporting
- Lead the implementation, optimization, and automation of benefits platforms. Introduce AI-driven tools to personalize employee interactions, enhance reporting, and strengthen self-service capabilities
- Drive operational efficiency and service excellence through ongoing process improvements and employee feedback analysis. Track and report on KPIs and service levels to inform strategic decisions
- Manage external vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective, high-quality service delivery
- Collaborate with internal partners such as Centers of Excellence, Payroll, Finance, Technology, and People Services & Solutions to ensure integrated and scalable processes
- Support change management initiatives, including vendor transitions, policy updates, and system upgrades
- Foster a culture of inclusion, innovation, and service excellence within the benefits operations team

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $151,300.00 - $219,400.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
