Job Details
Visa is seeking an experienced payments professional who will be a strategic partner to one of our largest clients in the National Segment within the US Financial Institutional Sales function. This Sr. Director will be responsible for managing a segment of a National Issuer, with a focus on selling products and services through strong collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. The Sr. Director will also be expected to develop a deep understanding of the client organization and all aspects of the business including their product suite, strategy, innovation, fraud/risk, client support, data integrity, partnership vulnerabilities, and more.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Lead the strategic partnership for your business line at the client. Be committed, resourceful, and proactive in identifying opportunities, problems, and solutions with a focus on driving results
- Lead client RFP responses, and other sales opportunities
- Independently lead on-site and virtual Client visits with various Client stakeholders. Responsible for preparing all presentation materials
- Develop and execute customized account plans to increase revenue, market share, and portfolio performance
- Demonstrate deep product knowledge and technical aptitude of Visa’s core products and services including acquired assets and partnership capabilities.
- Create and deepen existing relationships, focusing on executive decision makers across the organization.
- Deliver on AANR Targets
- Analyze Client Performance, identifying areas of growth and potential risk. Monitor scorecard results to ensure accuracy of the data reported and identify potential gaps needing specific focus to achieve goals
- Expand Clients utilization of Visa value-added services (e.g. consulting projects, analytics & reporting, innovation, and marketing), new flows and core payments
- Manage sales pipeline & reporting within Microsoft Dynamics
- Motivate and inspire Visa subject matter experts (SMEs) to support client’s goals and objectives
- Manage client reported issues in a timely and professional manner
- Actively participate and lead various ad-hoc internal projects as assigned
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
- 15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
- 10-12+years business experience with related sales and management experience in the payments industry
- Deep expertise in payments products specifically Debit, Credit, Small Business, and Innovation
- Demonstrated track record of planning, managing, and closing a complex, competitive sales effort.
- Ability to implement strategic initiatives, policies and operational decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to establish effective relationships with all levels including executive management.
- Excellent strategic thinking and analysis skills, and a proven track record of creating solutions that increase revenue.
- Ability to manage & grow internal and external resources and cross functional relationships.
- Proven ability negotiating business agreements and ability to enhance existing and develop new business partnerships.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for this position is 207,600.00 to 332,300.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
