Your role
We are looking for our next (Senior) Internal Audit Manager to join our team in our EMEA headquarter in Henley-on-Thames!
In this role you'll responsible for conducting internal audits and projects. The audit work will require obtaining an understanding of the areas under review, performing the audit work and documenting the results
What we are we looking for:
Effectively plan, coordinate and complete complex and unstructured audits as well as effectively provide a framework to them
Perform audits and supervise the performance of work by any assigned staff or contractors, including reviewing work papers, detailing control weaknesses or inefficiencies and managing the completion of the audit within the given timeframe
Effectively design and advise on the application of data analysis within audit engagements
Exercise individual judgment and initiative in selecting emphasis for coverage within an audit and determining and locating sources of information
Prepare audit results and conduct entry/exit meetings to acquire management concurrence and responses
Prepare audit reports and clear those reports with auditees prior to issuance
Perform follow-up on previously identified audit findings and management’s action plans
Demonstrate excellent judgment when dealing with business/industry issues; ability to interpret complex, often vague and at times contradictory sets of information. Able to identify wider business, industry and emerging issues, including cultural, conduct and ethics consideration.
Possess a broad and comprehensive understanding of high-risk area affecting the business and the industry as a whole
Provide subject matter expertise and understands interdependencies of key business processes, functions and risks
Assist in training and development of team members by providing on the job coaching, delivering constructive and motivating feedback, and participation in the performance management process.
What you can bring:
Experience in internal audit, including acting in the capacity of a supervisor, with excellent knowledge of general controls; previous experience in audit-related, risk management and/or compliance roles would also be considered
Equivalent proven experience in the investment management industry may be substituted for direct audit experience
Knowledge of the asset management or securities industries, with expertise in investment products (equities, fixed income, alternatives), portfolio management, trading and
investment operations and finance
Degree or equivalent experience in accounting, finance, or other related field. Professional accounting or auditing designation (e.g., CA, CPA, CFA, CIA, ACCA, ACFE) is helpful
Pro-active problem solver with the ability to thoroughly identify and investigate issues and determine the appropriate course of action. Work through contentious issues with customers in a non-confrontational style
Ability to handle confidential information and get along with individuals at different levels on sensitive matters
Communicates complex issues clearly and credibly with widely varied audiences. Able to engage and negotiate with senior collaborators on sophisticated topics; comfortable in dealing with all levels of stakeholders and maintaining objectivity also under tight timeframes
Self-starter and motivated to work independently
Experience in working in a diverse, cross-functional and international environment
Adaptable and comfortable with changing environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
