As the General Manager, Mikro Systems – you will report to the General Manager of Advanced Turbine Airfoil Castings; with responsibility for leading all aspects associated with the Mikro Systems business unit.
What You Will Do
- People. Effectively lead a 160 person team of hourly and salary professionals delivering high quality outcomes and fostering an inclusive environment that creates a true sense of belonging as you build and retain talent for the future. The GM there must foster innovation and speed while working within the policies of P&W.
- Strategic management. Develop, deliver, and maintain business plans ensuring alignment with the Advanced Turbine Airfoil Castings team and P&W Operations. In addition, the Mikro Systems team is responsible for creating new capabilities that add value to P&W and the larger RTX corporation. This includes working closely with a company that P&W is working with on ceramic core industrialization.
- Business/operational management. Drive operational effectiveness and execution to deliver on all commitments to our customers. Customers for Mikro Systems include supporting the ceramic core process development and industrialization that will ultimately be placed in our new Asheville, NC location, providing development hardware in support of P&W programs (ceramic cores, powder metal hardware, etc) as well as ensuring scheduled units are delivered to Siemen’s Medical Systems.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, engineering, or related field with a minimum of 14 years of experience: OR an advanced degree in a related field with a minimum of 12 years of experience
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
The salary range for this role is 171,000 USD - 343,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.This role is a U.S.-based role.
