Job Details

Are you an experienced, passionate pioneer in technology who wants to work in a collaborative environment? As an experienced UI Developer, you will have the ability to share new ideas and collaborate on projects as a consultant without the extensive demands of travel. If so, consider an opportunity with Deloitte under our Project Delivery Talent Model. Project Delivery Model (PDM) is a talent model that is tailored specifically for long-term, onsite client service delivery.

Work you'll do/Responsibilities
  • Design and build rich, responsive, and secure React web applications supporting store readiness and POS modernization efforts
  • Develop operational workflows, dashboards, and data visualizations that help track release readiness, store rollout status, lane/device health, and integration readiness
  • Translate user needs (store operations, merchandising, IT) into intuitive UI flows, with attention to usability in fast-paced retail environments
  • Integrate front-end experiences with backend services via REST APIs, implementing secure authentication/authorization patterns (e.g., JWT/OAuth2)
  • Implement state management using Redux, Context API, or similar patterns; ensure predictable data flows and maintainable component architecture
  • Apply UI best practices for performance (render efficiency, code-splitting, caching strategies) and reliability (error boundaries, resilient loading states)
  • Ensure accessibility and inclusive design practices (keyboard navigation, focus management, contrast, semantic HTML, WCAG alignment)
  • Embed security into the front end: input validation, safe handling of tokens, least-privilege API consumption, and protection against common web risks (e.g., XSS)
  • Build and maintain automated tests (unit and integration) using Jest or similar frameworks; support CI quality gates with reliable test suites
  • Troubleshoot and debug complex UI and integration issues using browser tooling, logs, and API traces; collaborate with backend and DevOps teams to resolve defects quickly
  • Contribute to shared UI standards (component libraries, design systems, coding conventions) and support consistent implementation across teams
  • Communicate regularly with Engagement Managers (Directors), project team members, and representatives from various functional and / or technical teams, including escalating any matters that require additional attention and consideration from engagement management
  • Independently and collaboratively lead client engagement workstreams focused on improvement, optimization, and transformation of processes including implementing leading practice workflows, addressing deficits in quality, and driving operational outcomes
