Work You'll Do

The Database Administrator supports the ongoing administration, monitoring, and security of enterprise database systems, with a primary focus on the Imperva SecureSphere (or equivalent database activity monitoring) platform. This role is responsible for engineering and maintaining supporting infrastructure, partnering with stakeholders and vendors, and ensuring high availability, performance, and compliance-aligned operations.

This position is critical to protecting the integrity and security of mission-essential application databases. The Database Administrator proactively identifies and resolves system issues, deploys and maintains agents and sensors, performs upgrades and configuration changes, and produces clear documentation to standardize and sustain operational processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain the database security monitoring platform (e.g., Imperva SecureSphere), including configuration, tuning, and health monitoring
  • Engineer and support platform infrastructure (compute, storage, network dependencies) to maintain operational availability
  • Plan and execute upgrades, patching, and configuration changes with minimal service disruption
  • Deploy, update, and validate agents/sensors across database hosts and environments
  • Diagnose and resolve platform, agent, and telemetry issues; coordinate remediation with internal teams and vendors
  • Develop and maintain operational runbooks, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and support documentation

Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance
  • 4+ years of experience with database security solutions (Imperva preferred, equivalents acceptable)
  • 2 years plus of hands-on experience in:
    • Upgrading and configuring database monitoring/security tools
    • Deploying and supporting agents, sensors, and related database security components
    • Database diagnostics and troubleshooting in enterprise environments
    • Creating operational support documentation (runbooks/SOPs)
  • Ability to travel 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $88,600 to $163,100.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
