Skills and Competencies

  • Proven experience in data management and analysis.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL.
  • Experience with DataBricks (Spark).
  • Ability to automate data processes and workflows.

(Preferred)

  • Experience in managing data feeds from multiple countries.
  • Familiarity with financial data and legal restrictions on data sharing.
  • Fluency in Portuguese to understand data feeds and communicate with providers.
  • Experience using project and task management tools, such as Jira.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in data, finance, information technology, or equivalent

Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and validating data feeds, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring data accuracy and quality.

  • Manage and validate data feeds from various countries, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to resolve data-related issues and ensure smooth operations.
  • Communicate changes and updates to data feeds, ensuring all relevant parties are informed.
  • Track issues and validate data using project and task management tools.
  • Run tests and validate data exports to ensure data quality.
  • Address and resolve data discrepancies, such as decreases in manager functions and incomplete addresses.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure data accuracy and address any issues that arise.
  • Develop and maintain scripts and automation processes using Python and SQL.
  • Utilize DataBricks for data processing and analysis.
  • Conduct data research to identify and leverage additional data sources, becoming a country expert.
  • Enhance the quality of existing data by identifying what could be available and delivered or generated otherwise.

The Data Estate division is the commercial data business of Moody’s Analytics, best known for Orbis—the world’s most comprehensive database of public and private companies. We provide mission-critical data to decision-makers globally, eliminating the hassle of sourcing and preparing data while adding value through insight and accessibility. You will required strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication and collaboration skills. Additionally, proficiency in Python, SQL, and automation is essential. The candidate will also be expected to conduct data research and become a data country expert, identifying, and leveraging additional data sources or processes to enhance the quality of our data.
