The Role:
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Data Security Product Governance Analyst to support the robust governance of our data security programs. This role is critical for enhancing program effectiveness through detailed analysis of performance and cost data, alongside the comprehensive evaluation of new security vendors and technologies. The ideal candidate will leverage strong analytical capabilities to provide key insights, manage vendor relationships, and ensure the firm's security posture aligns with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Perform in-depth data analysis related to data security program performance, metrics, and costs to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights for senior management and key stakeholders.
- Oversee the creation and review of daily, weekly, and monthly metrics and executive reports for the data security program.
- Manage and respond to ad-hoc metric and reporting requests, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational data.
- Collaborate with application managers, procurement, and other teams to assess, evaluate, and onboard new data security vendors and technologies.
- Conduct due diligence and technical assessments as part of the vendor evaluation process.
- Coordinate with various internal teams to facilitate the testing and evaluation of new vendor solutions.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and refinement of data security governance processes, policies, and standards.
- Identify opportunities for process re-engineering and automation within data security governance, particularly for data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for program governance processes, vendor evaluations, and analytical findings.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in information security, with a strong focus on data analysis, security program governance, and/or vendor management.
- Proven experience with data analysis tools and techniques, including strong Excel skills for metrics and cost analysis.
- Experience in evaluating security technologies and working with security vendors.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field is recommended but not required.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCSP) and experience with security assessment tools are preferred.
