    Position Overview

We are seeking an eCommerce Innovation – Trial Modernization Manager to help accelerate trial monetization and modernize trial experiences for our next-generation offerings. This mid-level individual contributor role focuses on executing trial modernization initiatives that improve activation, conversion, and scalability across our self-serve and product-led commerce motions.

In this role, you will work within an established eCommerce and monetization strategy, partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Design, Lifecycle Marketing, and Analytics to evolve legacy trial models into modern, configurable, and experimentation-ready experiences. You will own scoped initiatives that directly impact free-to-paid conversion and help position trials as a durable growth lever for future offerings.

    Responsibilities

    Trial Modernization & eCommerce Innovation

    • Execute trial modernization initiatives that support next-generation product offerings, including updates to trial access models, usage limits, feature gating, and upgrade triggers

    • Partner with Product and Engineering to help evolve legacy or static trials into scalable, eCommerce-ready experiences that support rapid iteration and experimentation

    • Support the rollout of modern trial frameworks that accelerate monetization while maintaining strong activation and adoption outcomes

    • Contribute to defining how trials integrate into broader self-serve and eCommerce journeys, including pricing, packaging, and upgrade paths

    Trial Monetization & Funnel Execution

    • Own execution for specific stages of the trial monetization funnel (e.g., activation, trial engagement, conversion moments)

    • Track and report on key metrics such as activation rate, trial engagement, trial-to-paid conversion, and early revenue signals

    • Plan, execute, and analyze A/B tests across onboarding flows, in-product prompts, paywalls, pricing pages, and upgrade experiences

    • Partner with Product and Engineering to operationalize successful experiments into durable product and commerce capabilities

    • Analyze product usage and experiment data to identify friction points and monetization opportunities within trial experiences

    • Assist in building lightweight business cases estimating conversion lift, incremental ARR, or revenue acceleration from trial changes

    • Prepare clear updates, insights, and recommendations for stakeholder and leadership reviews

    Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to deliver trial and monetization enhancements tied to eCommerce priorities

    • Collaborate with Analytics and Finance partners to ensure accurate measurement of trial performance and monetization impact

    • Coordinate with Sales, Customer Success, and Support to ensure modernized trials align with downstream customer journeys

    • Partner with lifecycle marketing to support coordinated in-app and email campaigns tied to trial engagement and upgrade moments

    • Support definitions for when trials surface sales or customer success engagement, aligned with existing PQL and sales-assist frameworks

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Economics, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

    • 5+ years of experience in eCommerce, product operations, growth, monetization, or lifecycle roles within SaaS or subscription businesses

    • Experience supporting trial, conversion, or monetization initiatives in self-serve or product-led environments

    • Strong analytical skills with experience using product or marketing analytics tools

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with analytics and experimentation platforms

    • Working knowledge of A/B testing, cohort analysis, and dashboard creation

    • Exposure to lifecycle and familiarity with billing or upgrade flows

    • Foundational understanding of product-led growth, self-serve eCommerce, and trial-to-paid conversion mechanics

    • Interest or hands-on experience modernizing trials or monetization flows for new or evolving product offerings

    • Ability to translate user behavior and data into clear hypotheses and test plans with guidance from senior partners

    • Strong collaboration skills with Product, Design, Engineering, Marketing, and Analytics teams

    • Clear written and verbal communication skills when sharing experiment results and learnings

    • Comfortable operating in structured but evolving environments with support from senior peers
