Job Purpose

The Technical Sales Representative will grow the sales in the Catalonia region, promoting the company products and advising Clients with the best company products mix. This will be accomplished with already existing Clients but also with new Clients detected in the target market.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • It deals with the complete sales process, including consulting, promotion and sale of products and services, supporting customers in the pre-sales phase, responding to enquiries and maintaining trusted relationships in the after-sales phase.

  • Focuses on the research and analysis of leads in cooperation with the local team, as well as on the retention of existing customers, in line with assigned individual and corporate objectives.

  • Is able to regularly plan a visit calendar, combining company strategies and needs with customer requirements. Prepares up-to-date reports containing market information, business opportunities and work history, which are shared with the Sales Manager.

  • Manages selected end customers and forklift dealers within the assigned sales area, reporting directly to the Sales Manager.

  • Personally follows customers throughout the entire process, from product presentation to the definition of the commercial proposal. Promotes continuous product and system updates and training activities. Remains informed about order flow, production status and delivery matters.

  • Interacts directly with Inside Sales by forwarding orders and issuing technical and commercial instructions, up to the authorization of order placement. Communicates guidelines for preparing customer offers, defining commercial conditions, and creating dedicated price lists and proposals.

  • Applies the company Sales Policies issued by the Sales Manager.

  • Collaborates and coordinates with the Service department on interventions and actions required to resolve technical issues raised by customers. Provides technical advice to clients as a battery expert.

  • Verifies and follows up on customer solvency in cooperation with the credit office.

  • Competently uses specific sales programs (e.g. Salesforce).

  • Travel within the Catalonia region and occasionally within Spain and abroad is required, including overnight stays away from home.

Qualifications

  • Professional Formation or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably with a specialization in industrial electrical or electronics. Native Spanish and very good level of English. It will be positively valued, Catalan.
  • Level of experience desired more than 5 years dealing with sales of industrial electrical devices, batteries, UPS’s or similar. Knowing the forklift market or the batteries market is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Office 365 and knowledge of Salesforce will be positively valued.
  • Driver's license up to date.
