The Analytics Sr Analyst is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and workflow for the area or function. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business. Evaluates moderately complex and variable issues with substantial potential impact, where development of an approach/taking of an action involves weighing various alternatives and balancing potentially conflicting situations using multiple sources of information. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources. Excellent communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Involved in coaching and training of new recruits. Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization. Work and performance of all teams in the area are directly affected by the performance of the individual.

Responsibilities:

  • Gathers operational data from various cross functional stakeholders to examine past business performance
  • Identifies data patterns & trends, and provides insights to enhance business decision making capability in business planning, process improvement, solution assessment etc.
  • Recommends actions for future developments & strategic business opportunities, as well as enhancements to operational policies
  • May be involved in exploratory data analysis, confirmatory data analysis and/or qualitative analysis
  • Translate data into consumer or customer behavioral insights to drive targeting and segmentation strategies, and communicate clearly and effectively to business partners and senior leaders all findings
  • Continuously improve processes and strategies by exploring and evaluating new data sources, tools, and capabilities
  • Work closely with internal and external business partners in building, implementing, tracking and improving decision strategies
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


Recommended Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years of experience

    • Financial Services Domain Expertise (Wholesale Lending): Strong knowledge of wholesale lending products, loan origination processes, credit analysis, loan documentation, regulatory requirements, and banking operations. This ensures AI solutions are contextually appropriate and compliant with industry standards and regulations.
    • AI/ML Engineering & Prompt Engineering: Deep understanding of large language models, prompt design patterns, AI orchestration frameworks, and the ability to develop, test, and deploy AI features in production environments. Experience with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures and model evaluation would be particularly valuable for loan-related AI applications.
    • Data Architecture & Modeling: Expertise in designing enterprise data models, data taxonomy development, data governance, and understanding of both relational and modern data architectures. Experience with financial data standards and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable data structures is critical for the data model redesign work.
    • Business Analysis & Stakeholder Management: Strong ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences, create compelling presentations and documentation, conduct use case analysis, gather requirements, and manage stakeholder expectations. Given the "hot topic" nature of AI, the ability to communicate progress, manage expectations, and demonstrate value is essential for organizational buy-in and continued support.

  • Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience

Team Overview: Regulatory and Analytics (R&A)
The Regulatory and Analytics (R&A) team within the EDO plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and compliance of regulatory reports and in leveraging data analytics to drive business insights. The R&A team collaborates across various business and technology units to implement robust data quality management policies and procedures, and to provide subject matter expertise on regulatory reporting requirements.
Role: Regulatory and Analytics - AI & Data Quality
We are seeking a highly motivated candidate to join our Regulatory and Analytics team. This role will contribute to supporting the development and deployment of AI use cases in wholesale lending, as well as assisting in the implementation of best-in-class data quality management policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
1.    AI Use Case Development in Wholesale Lending:
•    Assist as a business subject matter expert (SME) in the development and integration of AI use cases for wholesale lending products.
•    Collaborate with business leaders, data scientists, and technology teams to define AI use cases, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
•    Contribute business insights and guidance in the creation, testing, and integration of AI models and solutions.
•    Support the evaluation of the impact of AI implementations on lending processes and outcomes.
2.    Data Quality Management:
•    Contribute to the development and implementation of best-in-class Data Quality management policies, procedures, and capabilities.
•    Work closely with business leaders, the Data Quality organization, Data Owners, Technology Owners, and Enterprise Data Office personnel teams to ensure data quality standards are met.
•    Participate in the continuous improvement, monitoring, control, and governance of Data Quality.
•    Contribute to programs aimed at enhancing data quality across the organization.
3.    Regulatory Reporting Operating Model:
•    Assist in the implementation of a robust operating model across all regulatory reports supported by the Regulatory & Analytics team in EDO.
•    Ensure the operating model supports the end-to-end filing lifecycles of regulatory reports.
•    Collaborate with stakeholders to streamline processes and improve efficiency in regulatory reporting.
4.  Issue Resolution:
•    Provide support and subject matter expertise to address issues encountered during the production cycle of regulatory reports.
•    Offer support in tactical solution designs and guidance on interpretive issues relating to reporting instructions and their implementation.
•    Assist in the resolution of data-related issues to ensure accurate and timely regulatory filings.
 

Preferred Qualifications:
•    Understanding of wholesale lending products and processes.
•    Familiarity with current AI technologies and their applications in the financial industry.
•    Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as FR-Y14, Shared National Credit, and 2052a and their reporting requirements within a large banking institution.
•    Experience in contributing to the development and implementation of data quality management policies and procedures.
•    Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
•    Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
•    Demonstrated ability to contribute subject matter expertise and assist in resolving issues.
•    Intermediate skills with business intelligence and data visualization software: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Tableau.
•    Certifications in data management or related fields.
