DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Senior HR Generalist to join our team specializing in Human Resources for our location, Plainfield, IN.     

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:      

  • Strengthen Workforce Planning: By evaluating organizational structures, job design, and headcount forecasting, you’ll ensure the business has the right talent in place to meet strategic goals.
  • Champion Diversity & Inclusion: Implementing staffing tactics that build and maintain a diverse workforce will enhance innovation and organizational culture.
  • Resolve Conflicts & Coach Leaders: Providing counseling and guidance will improve team dynamics, reduce friction, and foster stronger leadership capabilities.
  • Drive Performance Management: Leading employee development planning will help individuals grow while aligning their performance with business objectives.
  • Ensure Data Accuracy: Maintaining complete and reliable workforce information in HR systems will enable better decision‑making and compliance.
  • Optimize Compensation & Benefits: Partnering with HR and shared services to facilitate compensation processes ensures fairness, competitiveness, and employee satisfaction.
  • Lead Investigations & Compliance: Conducting investigations and advising leadership on legislative requirements will safeguard organizational integrity and reduce risk.
  • Develop Talent & Processes: By leading training needs assessments, mentoring junior HR generalists, and driving HR process improvements, you’ll elevate both people capability and HR effectiveness.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Resolve Issues with Integrity – Conduct thorough investigations, manage employee relations constructively, and ensure compliance with standards and labor laws.
  • Leverage Data & Design – Use analytics and organizational design principles to provide insights, optimize structures, and enable data‑driven HR decisions while valuing diverse perspectives.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

College, university, or equivalent degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field or equivalent experience required.

Experience:

Intermediate level of relevant work experience required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Additional Qualifications & responsibilities:

  • Lead HR Operations Onsite – Provide strategic and day‑to‑day HR leadership for the Plainfield remanufacturing facility and the new distribution center.
  • Enhance Communication Across Cultures – Deliver clear, effective verbal and written communications to a multilingual workforce (Spanish, French, Yoruba, Haitian Creole, Burmese); bilingual proficiency strongly preferred.
  • Serve as Primary HR Contact – Act as the first point of contact for employees, addressing routine HR inquiries and providing guidance.
  • Ensure Compliance – Oversee adherence to all regulatory requirements, company policies, and HR standards.
  • Support Talent Acquisition – Track and monitor open positions, assisting with recruitment activities to maintain staffing levels.
  • Manage New Hire Experience – Coordinate onboarding and orientation programs to ensure smooth integration of new employees.
  • Drive Internal Communications – Draft, distribute, and manage HR communications to employees across the site.
  • Deliver HR Reporting– Prepare and maintain accurate HR reports for both business and HR leadership use.
