As a DevOps Intern in the Orchestration Systems (OrchSys) team, you’ll work alongside engineers responsible for Relativity’s internal automation ecosystem — infrastructure provisioning, CI/CD tooling, developer experience, and reducing KTLO through smart automation and IaC.

Job Description and Requirements
Your Role in Action
As a DevOps Intern, you will actively contribute to systems and tools that support engineering teams across Relativity. You will:
Infrastructure & Automation
Learn and apply Infrastructure as Code concepts using tools such as Bicep and Pulumi (small tasks, or guided contributions).
Support improvements to internal automation tooling that helps engineers deploy, test, and operate Relativity services.
Help simplify manual workflows by contributing to lightweight automation scripts (Python, Bash, Powershell).
CI/CD & Developer Experience
Assist in updating or extending CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins) under the guidance of senior engineers.
Work on internal tools and services used by developers, gaining exposure to APIs, Python microservices (FastAPI), and automation patterns.
Participate in small proof‑of‑concept tasks that explore new ways to improve developer effectiveness.
Cloud, Containers & Observability
Get hands‑on exposure to Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, and modern cloud‑native tooling.
Learn the basics of monitoring & observability using Grafana, Prometheus, and logging/metrics pipelines.
Support ongoing efforts to increase standardization and reliability across internal systems.
Team Collaboration & Agile Work
Join a highly collaborative Scrum team.
Participate in standups, planning, retros, and technical discussions.
Work with engineers to debug issues, improve documentation, and contribute to internal knowledge bases.
Your Skills
Current student pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field.
Basic programming experience in Python, C#, or Java.
Familiarity with Linux or macOS command‑line environments.
Interest in DevOps engineering, cloud technologies, automation, and Infrastructure as Code.
Curiosity, willingness to learn, and a desire to improve how engineering teams build and ship software.
Comfortable working in an Agile development environment.
Nice to Have (Not Required)
Prior exposure to Docker or Kubernetes (even via coursework or personal projects).
Basic knowledge of CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).
Experience writing small automation scripts (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
Familiarity with Git and GitHub workflows.
Interest in observability, dashboards, or metrics.
