Position Overview
Autodesk’s Worldwide Sales Finance organization is seeking a high-performing Finance Business Partner to support the AMER Emerging Renewals business. This role reports to the Finance Director of Global Renewals and partners closely with the Senior Finance Business Partner for AMER Renewals to provide strategic and operational finance leadership.
The ideal candidate is a strong analytical thinker and trusted advisor who can balance strategic insight with rigorous financial execution. This role requires the ability to independently drive forecasting accuracy, translate complex data into actionable insights, influence business decisions, and uphold fiduciary responsibilities while supporting Autodesk’s mission to accelerate customer retention and recurring revenue growth.
Responsibilities
Business Partnership & Strategic Support
Serve as the primary finance partner to AMER Emerging Renewals leadership, providing data-driven insights to drive retention performance and productivity
Support sales capacity planning and coverage modelling to align headcount, segmentation, and investment decisions with business objectives
Partner cross-functionally to support quota setting, KPI target development, and performance management
Develop financial models for sales programs, productivity initiatives, and strategic investments to evaluate ROI and scalability
Forecasting, Reporting & Performance Analysis
Drive top-line forecasting accuracy for AMER Emerging Renewals, including pipeline analysis and variance reporting
Analyse renewal and retention KPIs, identify performance drivers and early risk signals, and recommend actions to improve outcomes
Prepare executive-ready materials and insights for quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and leadership reporting
Develop and maintain ROI analyses to measure the financial impact of renewal initiatives, headcount investments, and operational programs
Financial Governance & Controls
Review and approve exceptional sales transactions in accordance with internal policies and financial controls
Validate quota attainment results in partnership with the Global Commissions team, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Support Opex management (headcount and discretionary spend) for AMER Emerging Renewals, ensuring alignment with budget targets and productivity goals
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus
5–7 years of relevant experience in finance, FP&A, or business analysis
Experience in a technology, software, or SaaS environment preferred
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Experience with financial planning and BI tools such as Anaplan, Power BI, QlikView, or Sigma
Experience working with large datasets; SQL or Snowflake knowledge is a plus
Strong analytical and financial modelling skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial insights clearly to Director-level stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed organization

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For Canada-BC based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $95,000 and $139,700. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.Diversity & Belonging
