Purpose:
AbbVie is seeking an Associate Director of Corporate Brand Partnerships to help shape and execute dynamic sponsorship initiatives that elevate our brand and build meaningful stakeholder connections to drive business objections. In this high-visibility role, you will work closely with department leadership, collaborate across teams, and manage agency relationships to deliver high-impact activations in a dynamic external environment. The ideal candidate will partner cross-functionally to bring innovative ideas to life, driving year over year increases in AbbVie awareness and favorability with key audiences.
Partnership Strategy:
- Support Director, Corporate Brand Partnerships on short- and long-term strategy development, including potential future partnerships
- Synthesize cross-functional input to elevate partnership planning sessions and strategic alignment meetings
- Contribute to the preparation and presentation of internal presentations and strategy documents to communicate partnership initiatives
- Track and document ongoing strategy initiatives to ensure timely follow-up and visibility to leadership
Partnership Activation:
- Manage development of creative campaigns from ideation through in-market execution. Manage agencies, partners, and vendors ensuring alignment to brand objectives, sponsorship platform, industry best practices as well as AbbVie brand guidelines
- Across assigned properties/partners, lead day-to-day planning and execution with internal teams, agency partners, and rights holders. Drive partnership success and maximize value by delivering integrated campaigns that drive awareness and favorability
- Lead special events and experiences related to partnerships
- In partnership with communications teams, support employee engagement initiatives related to partnerships
- Drive innovation in partnership experiences by piloting new engagement models and technologies
- Additional duties may be required based on unique needs of each partnership
Partnership Operations:
- Manage assigned budgets for partnership programs including property fees, agency investment and activation funds, ensuring effective resource allocation and ROI analysis; oversee procurement and financial management processes
- Oversee day to day partnership management, maximizing contractual asset value while ensuring compliance with AbbVie brand standards and company policies
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including event organizers, partners, and internal stakeholders, driving implementation plans for funded programs
- Develop scalable partnership playbooks, templates, and best practice guidelines for the broader team
Partnership Measurement:
- Track and analyze activation results against brand strategy KPIs, informing future decisions
- Gather and analyze stakeholder feedback to evaluate partnership value and satisfaction
- Monitor market trends, new platforms and best practices to inform strategy
- Prepare comprehensive post-activation reports summarizing partnership performance and key learnings and present findings and actionable insights
- Lead annual post-mortem sessions to align optimizations and key actions
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Sports Management, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in strategic and tactical partnership marketing, brand management or account/client management with a proven track record of performance leading a portfolio in the sports and entertainment vertical or commensurate experience. Must also have at least 5 years of marketing experience across one of three groups (consumer, medical or pharmaceutical).
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and project management skills
- Strong executive presence to represent AbbVie with internal and external stakeholders
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple, high visibility initiatives successfully
- Strategic thinker with ability to drive business outcomes
Some travel is required (up to 30%+ annually), sometimes over weekends for events

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this postingbased on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately paymore or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs.
