About the team:
We build and operate Expedia Group's core CI infrastructure that powers engineering teams across multiple domains. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable, and scalable build systems—spanning native, backend, platform, and service teams—enabling developers to ship high‑quality software with confidence.
A high performing and influential individual contributor who leads by example while continuing to mentor junior engineers, interfaces consistently with tech leadership in the local organization, leads complex and vaguely defined projects, and stretches into team leadership skills based on current projects.
In this role, you will:
Design, implement, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines and workflows that ensure reliable, repeatable delivery of services across multiple environments.
Develop, harden, and operate cloud infrastructure and platform services, including infrastructure-as-code, configuration management, and standardized environments for multiple product teams.
Define, build, and maintain monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response mechanisms that improve service reliability, availability, and performance at scale.
Collaborate with engineering and product teams to design low-level system architectures, APIs, and data models that are resilient, observable, and optimized for operability in production.
Champion DevOps and SRE best practices, including security, compliance, performance optimization, and cost efficiency, while enabling fungible use of shared platforms and tooling across domains.
Safely integrate and operate AI/ML‑enabled solutions that improve operational outcomes, including familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows and applying AI/ML concepts to real world products.
Minimum Qualifications:
8+ years of Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering.
6+ years of extensive hands-on experience designing, automating, and operating CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and production services for complex, distributed systems.
Proven ownership of service- or multi-service-level infrastructure and delivery platforms, including responsibility for reliability, deployment, and operational health.
Strong technical skills in infrastructure-as-code, configuration management, system design (including low-level design), API design, and data modeling for highly available, scalable services.
Practical experience with monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident management processes that support data-driven decisions and continuous improvement of operational excellence.
Preferred Qualifications:
Good-to-Have/preferred : Cloud Platform(AWS), GitHub Suite(GH Actions, Action runners, GH Workflows), Terraform(IaC)
Experience designing and operating multi-service or domain-level DevOps platforms that support numerous engineering teams and high-scale, business-critical workloads.
Track record of leading architectural improvements to CI/CD, infrastructure, and observability systems that enhance reliability, security, and cost efficiency in large-scale environments.
Demonstrated success driving operational excellence programs, including performance tuning, capacity planning, chaos or resilience testing, and post-incident analysis across multiple services.
Safely integrates and operates AI/ML‑enabled solutions that improve outcomes, including using AI-assisted diagnostics, automation, or optimization in deployment, monitoring, and incident response workflows.
Advanced experience applying AI-augmented tooling within DevOps (for example, intelligent runbooks, anomaly detection, or predictive scaling) to streamline operations and improve service reliability.
