Work You'll Do

The IT Specialist, under the Mission Support Branch, delivers reliable, high-touch technical support across CFE-DM to enable day-to-day operations, training delivery, and engagement activities. This role manages and supports on-premises IT equipment and end-user services on Navy-Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) and non-dot-mil (NDM) workstations, provides collaboration platform support (e.g., Microsoft Teams, SharePoint,)Canvas, or other government approved LMS Tool, and ensures audio/visual (A/V), video teleconferencing (VTC), and network-dependent events run smoothly. The IT Specialist works closely with the IT Lead, Knowledge Manager, and website support team to sustain mission-critical IT services while maintaining compliance with Department of War (DoW) security standards.

Travel: May be required 1-2 times per year (as mission needs dictate).

Key Responsibilities

IT Administration & User Support
  • Provide end-user support for standard office software on NMCI and NDM workstations, including troubleshooting, configuration assistance, and user guidance.

  • Assist with account management and service request submission/tracking (e.g., Footprints/repair tickets), including coordination for workstation issues, access needs, and sustainment actions.
  • Maintain IT inventory and support administrative tracking for equipment, supplies, and user requests.
  • Manage and maintain the office telecommunications systems by responding to support tickets, diagnosing hardware and software problems, and performing necessary configurations and repairs.

System & Event Support
  • Set up, operate, and troubleshoot A/V equipment, VTC, conference calls, and supporting network infrastructure for events, workshops, trainings, and exercises.
  • Provide real-time technical support during group presentations and virtual/hybrid events to ensure continuity of operations and rapid issue resolution.
  • Support technical readiness for briefs, workshops, trainings, and exercises by preparing, operating, and correcting systems and devices needed for mission success.
  • Collaboration Platforms & Training Technology
  • Provide customer support for Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams in both individual and group settings.
  • Provide Canvas eLearning support to staff, instructors, and students during virtual training and events, including basic troubleshooting and user assistance.

Website & Content Support (Coordination Role)
  • Coordinate with the Knowledge Manager and website support team to assist with website content input and analytics reporting, as needed.
  • Security & Compliance
  • Operate in accordance with government information assurance requirements and technical standards (e.g., Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and ICD 503, as applicable).
  • Maintain required eligibility for access to government systems; support secure handling practices aligned to CFE-DM and DoW policies.
  • Stakeholder & Partner Support
  • Coordinate with the Pacific Warfighting Center (PWC) on account maintenance, temporary duty (TDY) machine maintenance, and related user/inventory support.

Qualifications

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Active Secret security clearance required
  • 5+ years of experience in a government IT environment with strong troubleshooting and customer support skills
  • CompTIA A+ and CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent qualifying DoW 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technical (IAT) certification); Microsoft Office certification (or demonstrable equivalent proficiency, per client requirements).
  • Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve

Preferred:
  • Familiarity with USINDOPACOM/Indo-Pacific operating context and mission support environments.
  • Experience with Azure Government Cloud (or similar secure cloud environment).
  • Hands-on experience applying or working within information assurance compliance regimes (e.g., STIGs, ICD 503).
  • Additional certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, or other CompTIA certifications).

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $102,750 to $171,250.
