Job Details

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional to join our Sales Incentives Team. This role is critical in ensuring accurate and timely resolving cases, working on the sales compensation plans while driving operational efficiency and leveraging advanced data analytics.

About the Role:

  • The role will focus on supporting the sales incentive compensation team.
  • This will include tracking sales activity in support of several compensation programs. This will be done using internal systems and constant interaction with other partner functions and the sales organization.
  • A component of the role will include tracking and reporting sales performance and progress towards Thomson Reuters contests and programs, as well as designing special incentive awards
  • The position is designed to be responsible for adjustments of sales crediting and compensation as appropriate and following through on commitments and requests from the sales teams.
  • This will require the ability to quickly learn the structure of the sales incentive plans and sales organization to answer questions and identify solutions. The role will also support the programming and design of an Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) tool leveraging their Sequel skills.
  • Manage the Sales Exception Compensation Queue for resolving those cases which would need compensation exception rules to be applied and approved as an exception, ensuring accuracy, compliance and efficiency.
  • Respond to and resolve complex queries from sales representatives and leadership with detailed research and actionable solutions.
  • A desire to gain detailed understanding of the many Thomson Reuters products in our various business segments.
  • Process, cleanse, and validate data for compensation payouts.
  • Develop and optimize workflows and SOPs to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities related to Compensation exception.
  • Varicent Compensation plan creation for year-end which would involve working on compensation plan with accountability and urgency.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and enhance reporting capabilities.
  • Technical skills that would be applied for the process improvement in the team which would include working on excel data
  • Leverage advanced analytics to provide insights that influence business decisions and improve performance.
  • Apply strong data analytics skills to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for process improvement.

About You:

  • Experience: 4-9 years in Finance, Accounting, or Sales Compensation with a strong operational and analytical focus.
  • Bachelor of Commerce, MBA in Finance, master’s in finance/accounting, or equivalent preferred.
  • Advanced MS Excel (including complex formulas, pivot tables, and automation preferred).
  • Proficiency in SQL and Alteryx for data manipulation and process automation.
  • Familiarity with ICM systems (Varicent, SAP Callidus, Xactly).
  • Experience with reporting and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
  • Exposure to AI tools and technologies for process automation, data analysis, or reporting enhancements.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
