The role will report to the Director of Market Access and is considered an enterprise-critical position for us. We are therefore eager to attract the best talent.
- Prepare evidence packages for new drug pricing & reimbursement (P&R) and reimbursement scope expansion
- Engage with government stakeholders (HIRA, NHIS) to manage P&R issues and reimbursement decisions
- Lead brand team communications regarding P&R
- Develop and drive P&R strategies for new drugs based on their characteristics and the governmental policy landscape
- Oversee risk sharing, P&R exemption schemes, reimbursement scope expansion
- Plan and update launch readiness for new indications/products with JAPAC Market Access
- Address & defend against government cost containment measures through cross-functional platforms
- Anticipate government policy changes and lead internal strategy discussions (HAT)
- Support affiliate brand teams with tactical plans and stakeholder engagement during P&R processes or when dealing with cost containment measures
- Drive collaboration with Commercial, Regulatory Affairs, PR, Medical, and other functions
- Conduct post-negotiation reviews for wins/losses
- Lead integrated access strategy for pipeline products
- Contribute to Disease Opportunity Profiles
- Communicate HTA strategy, adapt value propositions for JAPAC
- Set and execute Government Affairs goals & stakeholder engagement activities
- Review and plan GA activities for continuous improvement
- Degree in pharmaco-economics, statistics, medical, pharmacy, life sciences or equivalent
- Minimum 7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, healthcare payer/provider, or academic institution (e.g., Ministry of Health and Welfare, HIRA, NHIS)
- Excellent written and spoken communication and presentation skills
- Strong commitment to compliance and scientific integrity
Skills:
- Strategic thinking around value-story positioning
- Effective interfacing and communication with customers & internal teams
- Collaboration skills in cross-functional/brand environments
- Understanding of local and JAPAC affiliate implications
- Ability to identify policy/environmental opportunities and stakeholder mapping/planning
Required Knowledge:
- Cost-containment measures in Korea
- Market mechanics, healthcare policy, and funding pathways
- Payer mindset and motivations
