Job Purpose
The primary focus of this position is to support payroll operations for U.S. employees. The Payroll Operations Specialist I will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery. This role will also utilize SAP Employee Central Payroll (ECP) , ADP and UKG Time & Attendance systems, while partnering with HR and Finance teams to maintain data integrity and enhance payroll processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Payroll Processing: Load pay files, process mass employee changes, and submit payroll for approval. Review payroll previews and final reports for accuracy; perform quarterly reporting checks. Coordinate updates with payroll vendor and collaborate with HR Teams on system changes and testing. Conduct routine audits of SAP ECP and UKG/Kronos systems to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Employee & HR Support: Serve as the initial point of contact for local HR Business Partners and employees regarding payroll inquiries. Provide guidance on payroll policies, pay schedules, and timekeeping issues.
- Data Integrity & Compliance: Validate and reconcile data between SAP ECP, ADP, LiNK, and UKG systems. Investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and recommend process improvements.
- Reporting & Analytics: Generate and analyze payroll and time reports from SAP ECP, UKG/Kronos, ADP, and LiNK based on business needs. Support compliance reporting, audits, ad hoc reporting requests, and state-requested reporting.
- Support compliance configuration with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Supporting year-end tasks, including W-2 preparation, reconciliations, and corrections
- Serve as the central point of contact for Wage Garnishments and partner with the third-party vendor to ensure timely delivery and compliance.
- Payroll Processes Documentation: Update current payroll process documentation and keep processes updated

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR at least 5 years of relevant payroll experience.
- Minimum 2 years of end‑to‑end payroll processing experience.
- Strong experience working with payroll systems, including troubleshooting and processing.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with SAP Employee Central Payroll (ECP) or UKG (Workforce Ready/Dimensions/Payroll).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations (wage & hour, tax withholding, garnishments, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of SAP cloud application is highly desirable but not required.
- Knowledge of ADP Payroll, Kronos Time & Attendance and SAP Employee Central Payroll
