Skills and Competencies

We’re looking for a curious, enthusiastic student who is excited to learn and contribute with an interest in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, Business or a related field.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in using the M365 product suite
  • Interest in communications, storytelling, media, journalism, marketing or related fields
  • Ability to manage time effectively and balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to learn, take feedback and grow professionally
  • Positive attitude, collaborative mindset and eagerness to contribute to team success
  • Interest and enthusiasm in technology, with an emphasis on AI to aid work
  • Personal characteristics include:
    • Curious and eager to learn, with a genuine interest in communications and storytelling
    • Reliable and organized, with the ability to follow through on tasks and meet deadlines
    • Open to feedback and motivated to improve skills through hands-on experience

Education

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Marketing, Business or a related field
  • Graduation date of December 2026 - June 2028
  • Ability to work during program dates: June 1st - August 7th 2026

Responsibilities
Content creation and execution:

  • Assist with drafting, editing and proofreading and posting internal communications content aligned with Moody’s tone of voice, including emails, intranet articles and other employee-facing materials
  • Support the team in telling clear and engaging stories that help employees stay informed and connected
  • Help gather information and input from colleagues to support internal communications initiatives
  • Learn how communications effectiveness is measured and assist with basic reporting or tracking activities

Relationship management:

  • Work closely with members of the Employee Communications team and other internal partners across the company
  • Support team members in coordinating communications projects and meeting deadlines
  • Observe and learn how communications professionals advise business partners and align messaging with company priorities

About the team
As noted above, this role is aligned with Moody’s global Employee Communications & Events team. The group engages employees worldwide through storytelling to create experiences that help strengthen Moody’s culture and brand engagement. Employee Communications & Events is a part of Global Corporate Affairs at Moody’s which is also comprised of teams focused on a range of internal and external stakeholder engagement responsibilities for the company.

Moody's 10-week summer internship program is a premier opportunity for students to immerse themselves in a hands-on learning experience, guided by Moody's commitment to integrity, excellence, and insight. The program takes place each summer from June - August and positions are available for undergraduate and select graduate students. Internships are full-time, offering a comprehensive view of Moody's business and culture, and a chance to build professional and technical skills. Programmatic elements include networking, mentorship, leadership speaker series and volunteering events. Interns complete project work determined by their team that have real impact, fostering a sense of accomplishment and professional growth. Throughout the internship, participants receive mentorship from Moody's professionals, gaining insights into diverse career paths and cultivate a comprehensive understanding of the company. Networking events and workshops further enrich the experience, providing a platform for professional development and collaboration. As a Moody's intern, you will gain real-world experience, turn inputs into actions, and be integral part of the team.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring hourly rate for this position is $35, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location.
