The Team
Our AI & Data practice offers comprehensive solutions for designing, developing, and operating advanced Data and AI platforms, products, insights, and services. We help clients innovate, enhance, and manage their data, AI, and analytics capabilities, ensuring they can grow and scale effectively.

Work you'll do
As a Senior Manager in our AI & Data Team are expected to contribute to the firm's growth and development in a variety of ways, including:
- Engagement Management: Lead engagement planning and budgeting; mobilize and manage engagement teams; define deliverable structure and content; facilitate buy-in of proposed solutions from top management levels at the client; direct on-time, quality delivery of work products; manage engagement economics; manage engagement risk
- Client Management: Manage day to day interactions with executive clients and sponsors
- Business Development: Develop and maintain contact with top decision makers at key clients; organize and lead pursuit teams; participate and lead aspects of the proposal development process; contribute to the development of proposal pricing strategies
- People Development: Perform role of counselor and coach; provide input and guidance into the staffing process; actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities; provide leadership and support for delivery teams and staff in local offices
Strategy & Leadership
- Own and drive an AI & data delivery portfolio aligned to investment management priorities (e.g., alpha research, risk, client reporting, operations efficiency).
- Lead cross-functional teams (data engineering, data science, analytics, product, and platform) to deliver production-grade solutions.
- Establish roadmaps, success metrics (OKRs/KPIs), and governance for AI and data initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in AI/data/analytics roles with increasing leadership responsibility.
- 8+ years demonstrated experience in investment management (asset management, wealth management, hedge fund, pensions, or capital markets in an IM context).
- 8+ years experience in investment data domains (e.g., market data, holdings/positions, transactions, reference data, performance, risk).
- Proven ability to deliver enterprise data/AI products in production (not just proofs of concept).
- 8+ years experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing complex programs/portfolios.
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA/MS/PhD) preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 50% on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on familiarity with modern data/AI stacks (examples): cloud platforms, distributed processing, MLOps, vector databases, orchestration, BI/semantic layers.
- Experience with model risk management and regulated environments.
- Knowledge of common IM platforms/vendors (e.g., order management systems, risk engines, performance systems).
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $167,000 to $307,000.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
