Introduction to the Team:
Business Continuity team is tasked with ensuring EG's services and applications are highly available and resilient to any disruptions. We monitor the services' compliance to their Disaster Recovery plans and conduct simulated Disaster Recovery tests to verify, validate and improve their RTO/RPO standards. We are building world class products to innovate and enhance applications' recovery capabilities by putting the customer first, creating capabilities and experiences that can be shared and presented to the customer that meet the travelers’ expectations in locally relevant ways and adhere to regulatory norms.

In this role, you will:
Learn and collaborate with team members to co-develop and solve complex problems.
Implement features and improvements with increasing ownership, while partnering with senior engineers for design and reviews.
Work in an Agile/Scrum environment, participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and cloud-based services.
Apply frontend best practices to produce clean, maintainable, testable code.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to shared UI components and design systems.
Use monitoring, logging, and analytics tools to identify and resolve frontend issues in production.
Help translate business and operational requirements into intuitive user experiences.
Experience and qualifications:
Bachelor's or Masters degree in a technical field, or equivalent related professional experience
Minimum 3 years of frontend development experience, with a strong foundation in JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
Hands-on experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React (preferred), Angular
Understanding of frontend testing practices, including unit and component testing (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library).
Experience consuming and integrating RESTful APIs.
Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, browser performance tools, or similar.
Developing software in an Agile team environment (5–7 engineers), using version control and CI/CD pipelines.
Ability to understand moderately complex systems and how individual services fit into a larger architecture.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience designing and evolving frontend architectures for complex web applications, including reusable design systems, modular component libraries, and robust API integration patterns.
Background operating web applications at scale, including performance optimization, monitoring, alerting, and improving reliability and resiliency based on production signals and data.
Demonstrated ability to lead technical design for features or small projects, collaborating across teams to define low-level design, API contracts, and client-side data models that support long-term maintainability.
Safely integrates and operates AI/ML‑enabled solutions that improve outcomes, such as personalization, intelligent assistance, or automation in the UI, and uses experimentation or data analysis to guide iteration.
Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools or integrating AI services (such as model-driven APIs or inference endpoints) into frontend workflows, and applying these capabilities thoughtfully to enhance user experiences, with familiarity using AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows in day-to-day development.
