Job Description

As Senior Manager, UK & Ireland (UKI) Communications, you will be a key member of the Corporate Communications function, acting as a strategic communications partner to the UKI business.

Based in London, you will create and execute integrated internal and external communication programmes that support Visa’s commercial priorities and build employee engagement.

The Senior Manager will drive meaningful impact through storytelling to ensure our voice is relevant, bold, and aligned with Visa’s UKI strategy. Your work will drive client awareness and preference in Visa, shape the external landscape and narrative, and motivate and inspire colleagues.

You will work closely with Visa’s European Corporate Communications team to shape, adapt and execute compelling campaigns and programmes that demonstrate the value Visa delivers to clients and partners, bringing the company’s latest capabilities to life for audiences in the UK & Ireland.

Key Responsibilities

· Partner with teams across the UKI Sales, Product, Value-Added Services, and Commercial & Money Movement Solutions to plan, lead and deliver integrated, story-led communications campaigns that support business growth in the UK & Ireland.

· Partner with European communications teams to deliver integrated multi-channel thought leadership campaigns in the UK & Ireland positioning Visa as an authority on the future of payments, security, data, digital credentials and emerging commerce trends.

· Collaborate with Marketing teams to create compelling content, integrate messaging and amplify impact across channels.

· Act as a communications partner to leaders across the UK & Ireland business to strengthen executive visibility through high-profile speeches, op-eds, digital & social content, and briefing packs.

· Leverage AI-enabled tools and emerging technologies to enhance content development, analytics, narrative testing and campaign optimisation.

· Build strong relationships with relevant UK and Ireland business, technology and vertical media, as well as digital and social media influencers.

· Support on an internal communications programme that builds pride, alignment, and connection across teams.

· Support on press office media enquiries, news generation opportunities, crisis and issues response.

· Track and report on communications measurement and impact using data and insights to continuously optimise.


Qualifications

· Hands-on communicator with strong media and B2B communications skills, and stakeholder engagement experience in a matrixed, multi-national environment (payments/financial services/technology/regulatory exposure a plus).

· Proven ability to translate complex product detail into clear, compelling value stories and deliver them through integrated campaigns across earned, owned and social channels.

· A forward-looking mindset with strong curiosity for emerging media behaviours, platforms and formats - ranging from AI-generated content to new enterprise social channels - paired with the ability to quickly assess, test and integrate these into Visa’s communications strategies.

· Confident and creative writer/editor in both short and long form.

· Excellent project management, from strategy to execution.

· Comfortable operating in ambiguity, prioritising, and solving problems with data-informed judgement.

· Experience managing agencies/vendors, workflows and budgets; disciplined with approvals and reporting.
