We are rapidly combining many world-leading technologies and teams into the Fusion 360 family. The role is in the Platform Organization within the Product Design and Manufacturing Solutions division. This team defines and builds the software platform that the Fusion 360 family of products is built upon.

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Pune workplace team and help us fulfill the mission of the organization, which is to drive developer productivity, cross-platform device independence, and software platform consistency.

 

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality, secure, and stable code for use in Fusion 360 products and implement guidance to help customers experience the full product capabilities

• Ensure new code conforms to established coding standards and meets design specifications

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and debug code as required (Note: our codebase is primarily written in C++)

• Write technical design documents, participate in design and code reviews, and develop task estimates while documenting code

• Work with an extended team of software developers, QAs, and product designers across the US and other worldwide engineering sites

• Mentor junior engineers on the team and act as a technical lead in areas of expertise

• Be flexible and respond quickly to changing conditions

• Program in C++ using MS Visual Studio and XCode on macOS

• Take ownership of tasks, stay informed, and proactively seek solutions

 

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field

• 5+ years of professional C++ programming experience

• Expertise in C++ development, standards, and specifications

• Outstanding programming, debugging, and problem-solving skills

• Strong understanding of Design Patterns and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles

• Solid knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and STL

• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment to achieve common goals

• Capability to design and implement complex software systems independently and demonstrate ideas through POCs (Proof of Concepts)

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with cross-platform application development using Visual Studio on Windows and XCode on macOS

• Experience with Scrum methodology, JIRA, and Git

• Experience with ReactJS is a plus

• Experience in designing and building RESTful APIs is a plus

• Ability to learn large software systems quickly

• Leadership experience as a Team Lead or Tech Lead in previous roles
