Work You'll Do

Deloitte is seeking a highly motivated and bilingual professional to join our New York office as a Japan Desk Senior Consultant within our Consulting practice. This unique role focuses on supporting Japanese clients-across both public and private sectors-on innovation, business development, and go-to-market strategies in the US for Japanese stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in innovation consulting, demonstrated experience with Japanese clients, and the cross-cultural skills necessary to bridge business practices between Japan and the US.

Our Valuation & Modeling offering provides financial modeling in business planning, transactions, and operational improvement. Conducts valuation for tax, regulatory compliance, M&A, litigation, bankruptcy, and risk management. Supports Audit for fair value measurements.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree
• Native or professional fluency in both Japanese and English
• 4+ years of consulting experience, with a focus on innovation, digital transformation, or new business development for Japanese clients
• Ability to perform job responsibilities within a work model that requires professionals to co-locate in person 5 days per week.

Preferred:

• Deep understanding of, and experience with, Japanese business culture, decision-making processes, and stakeholder management.

This compensation range is specific to {insert location} and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $93,200 to $155,400.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
