Job Details
The Data Management & Strategy Lead Analyst is responsible for facilitating / executing the day-to-day activities to support implementation of the Data Governance Policy/Data Risk and Control framework, and supports activities that contribute to the definition of the Enterprise Data Governance Strategy, and/or Data Risk and Control Framework and Data Risk Taxonomy. An ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines, strong interpersonal skills and project management expertise are required. The role requires sound analytical skills to filter, prioritize and validate complex and dynamic material from various sources to support with business requirement documents, data issues and analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation of the Data Operating Model (DOM).
- Manage relationships with key stakeholders to develop, execute, and implement data governance policies, procedures and capabilities including continuous improvement, monitoring, control, and governance of data quality
- Manage data quality resolution and data improvement initiatives.
- Independently conduct analysis and executes tasks that contribute to work streams focusing on broad range of data initiatives including data requirements, issues management, data quality rules, lineage, data governance and taxonomy.
- Examines and evaluates project status, including identifying potential risks and issues that need escalation or change and proposing solutions to project leads.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable rules, laws, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgement regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 10-12 years relevant experience in Banking or Finance preferred
- Good knowledge of data governance/management, data operating model practices.
- Experience in managing and implementing successful data governance/management projects
- Communicates effectively, develops and delivers multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences; able to drive consensus, and influence relationships at all levels
- Collaborates effectively by building partnerships and working well with others to meet shared objectives
- Good negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills across a variety of stakeholders at different levels
- Demonstrates ability to balance between seeing the “big picture” while paying close attention to detail
- Organizational savvy: understands systems, management processes, knows where to go for information and how to interpret them.
Education:
- Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
