Event Coordinator

As our Event Coordinator, you will assist the team with all aspects of event management and delivery including delegate registration, ticketing and invoicing, sponsor/exhibitor management and database management. This role will be based in Auckland.
About the Role
In this opportunity as an Event Coordinator, you will:
Oversee event registration platforms and ticketing processes, ensuring accurate delegate communications and a seamless attendee experience.
Manage sponsor relationships, including partner agreements, invoicing, and coordination of on-site deliverables.
Provide on-site event support as required, assisting with setup, registration operations, and day-of execution.
Collect and consolidate post-event feedback, preparing clear summaries and recommendations for improvement.
Maintain and update customer and attendee databases, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with internal standards.
Monitor and report on competitor activity, identifying trends, positioning, and opportunities to strengthen event performance.
About You
You’re a fit for the role of Event Coordinator if you have the following required qualifications:
1–2 years' hands-on experience in event planning, event coordination, hospitality, or a related customer-facing role.
Demonstrated project and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events and deadlines simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong client-service mindset and proven stakeholder management capability.
Proficiency with event technology, including registration/ticketing platforms, CRM systems, project management tools, and Microsoft Office (intermediate level).
Working knowledge of event operations, including AV fundamentals, interpreting floor plans, and coordinating on-site logistics.
Additional preferred qualifications include:
Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related discipline (or equivalent relevant experience).
Demonstrated experience planning and delivering hybrid and/or virtual events, including coordination of remote attendee experiences.
Proficiency with design and layout tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator) to produce event signage, digital assets, and marketing collateral.
