Senior Manager, Security Operations - Security Compliance Center
What you'll do:
· Lead and evolve the global Security Compliance Center operations to monitor, triage, and respond to security compliance events across Expedia Group’s environments, ensuring consistent, high-quality execution.
· Define, implement, and continuously improve processes, runbooks, and controls that enable scalable, auditable, and efficient security compliance operations across multiple services and domains.
· Partner with security, engineering, product, and risk stakeholders to translate regulatory, policy, and control requirements into actionable operational workflows, metrics, and automation.
· Drive data-informed decision making by establishing key performance indicators, operational dashboards, and reporting that demonstrate control effectiveness and compliance posture.
· Provide technical and operational leadership to a multi-disciplinary team, including guidance on systems design, API integrations, and data modeling needed to support compliance tooling and platforms.
· Champion the adoption and safe use of AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows in security operations, including familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows and applying AI/ML concepts to real world products, and safely integrates and operates AI/ML‑enabled solutions that improve outcomes.
Who you are:
Minimum Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
· 8+ experience in security operations, security compliance, or related security engineering functions, including hands-on ownership of security or compliance services or platforms.
· Proven track record of leading teams that operate security or compliance services at scale, with clear accountability for service reliability, process quality, and on-time execution of operational workflows.
· Demonstrated technical aptitude with security tooling, logging and monitoring platforms, workflow orchestration, and data-driven analysis to improve operational effectiveness.
· Experience defining, operationalizing, and continuously improving security compliance processes in collaboration with cross-functional teams across multiple services or domains.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience building or leading a centralized security compliance operations function that supports multiple products, platforms, or business units in a complex, distributed environment.
· Proven ability to design and evolve system integrations, APIs, and data models that connect compliance tooling, case management, and monitoring platforms to enable automation and high-quality data.
· Demonstrated success driving operational excellence for security or compliance services, including incident handling, control monitoring, process standardization, and measurable improvements in efficiency and risk reduction.
· Experience using analytics, metrics, and dashboards to inform strategy, prioritize improvements, and communicate security compliance posture to senior stakeholders.
· Familiarity with AI-driven systems, tools, or workflows in the context of security and compliance operations, including an ability to identify safe, practical use cases for AI/ML, define guardrails, and guide teams in safely integrating and operating AI/ML‑enabled solutions that enhance detection, triage, or reporting.
