Job Description

AbbVie's Business Technology Solutions (BTS) Infrastructure, Architecture, and Innovation group is seeking a Senior Product Manager with hands-on experience leading engineering platform products and embedding Compliance as a core product focus. You will own product strategy, planning, and design for multiple internal products supporting our BTS organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for a suite of internal Engineering Platform products, ensuring compliance requirements are addressed as differentiated product value.
  • Champion end-to-end product management, from discovery and ideation through launch, adoption, and ongoing optimization.
  • Leverage deep user research, stakeholder engagement, and market analysis to drive product decisions and ensure alignment with business and compliance objectives.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Security, Legal, and Compliance teams to deliver platform capabilities that are compliant-by-design, secure, scalable, and reusable.
  • Use data analytics and KPIs to measure product success, drive iterative improvement, and make evidence-based, customer-centric product decisions.
  • Collaborate within a team of Product Managers to align product strategies, manage interdependencies, and drive a holistic platform approach.
  • Own the product backlog: prioritize epics/features, ensure clarity of requirements, and facilitate timely delivery using Agile practices (Scrum, Kanban) and Lean methodologies.
  • Guide cross-functional teams in delivering Regulatory and Compliance requirements as first-class features.
  • Proactively monitor technology, regulatory, and market trends to ensure platform relevance and innovation.
  • Facilitate outcome-oriented alignment across business, engineering, and compliance stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 8 years’ experience; Master's Degree with 7 years’ experience; or PhD with 3 years’ experience.
  • Proven experience leading the development and execution of user insight-informed technical product roadmaps that deliver measurable business outcomes in complex, regulated environments.
  • Significant experience working with cross-disciplinary teams (Engineering, Security, Compliance, Legal, Architecture).
  •  Deep knowledge of Agile delivery, product discovery frameworks (Lean, Dual-Track Agile), and metric-driven product design (OKRs, KPIs).
  • Demonstrated success embedding compliance requirements and regulatory principles into digital products.
  • Strong analytical, user empathy, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven track record launching products from 0-1 and driving growth-stage initiatives.
  • Self-driven with proven experience translating customer insights into strategic initiatives.
  • Excellent communicator able to build trust and alignment in a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Interest in technology trends, leveraging AI capabilities to accelerate innovation, especially in platform engineering, developer experience.

Preferred:

  • Experience in regulated industries, especially pharma/healthcare, and familiarity with GxP, SOX, GDPR, etc.
  • Track record in Compliance-as-a-Product, Platform Engineering, Developer Experience, or related domains.
  • Ability to manage priorities and navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
