    Responsibilities:

    Determine system needs and install software solutions that meet business requirements, provide input on software for the company’s purchasing decisions. Develop queries, reports, and dashboards to analyze and visualize data, and make necessary upgrades and repairs to ensure systems operate correctly. Design and develop data streaming pipelines to seamlessly send data to several data destinations. Design and develop solutions to complex applications problems and system administration issues.   Perform systems management and integration functions to maintain computer system security.  Work with stakeholders across the organization to train users on the company’s systems. Configure and maintain AWS and Azure environments to ensure smooth data flow between different systems. Work with the DevOps team to ensure that the infrastructure is properly monitored, evaluate and optimize system performance, and provide recommendations for improving system observability. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues and provide timely resolution. Keep up-to-date with the latest trends in system software and observability concepts, and make recommendations for improvements to the existing systems. Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the U.S. Telecommuting is permitted.

    Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Electronic Engineering or related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a software/systems-engineer related occupation.

    Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the U.S. Telecommuting is permitted.

    Skill Requirements: Position requires at least 3 years of experience in each of the following skills:

    • Architecting with Splunk Cloud to enable seamless logging.
    • Utilizing Splunk Query Language to translate data into insights for stakeholders using dashboards, reports and alerts.
    • Using Cribl or Splunk Ingest actions to develop data pipelines that can help process and ingest data into Splunk, S3 and different data sources.
    • Using network protocols, Cloud systems (AWS, Azure) to administer Cribl or Splunk to ensure high uptime of services.
    • Using Splunk to provide event correlation and anomaly detection in logs for proactive incident detection
    • Integrating Splunk with other enterprise tools to provide correlated business-critical information by combining data across systems.
    • Configuring Splunk third party add-ons to collect third party log data and develop scripts using shell or python for custom data collection requirements.

    Salary transparency  

    Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $152,110 - $194,600 / per year. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
