Skills and Competencies
- 10+ years of experience as an individual contributor, successfully leading complex sales initiatives, preferably within the software industry
- Deep understanding of the banking industry and interest in capital markets, data, and software
- Proven consultative selling skills and ability to lead complex sales cycles to successful conclusion
- Exceptional networking skills, with established connections across relevant industries and up-to-date knowledge of the latest market trends.
- Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency
- Interest in exploring agentic AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use
- Ability to interact with senior executives internally and externally
- Strong independent and team working skills, with high attention to detail
- Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills
Education
- Undergraduate/first-level degree (e.g, Bachelor’s degree) in business, finance, or related area preferred
Responsibilities
The position involves selling a wide range of Moody’s solutions within the Canadian Banking segment. There is significant potential to deliver complex solutions leveraging Moody’s platforms, data, and analytics offerings across various domains, including Lending, Credit, and KYC.
- Identify, develop, and seize opportunities to expand Moody’s enterprise-scale solutions to existing customers, working collaboratively with colleagues across the organization and industry to achieve objectives.
- Driving strategic engagement and fostering commercial relationships with key customers to ensure successful delivery of Moody’s solutions.
- Establishing C-suite dialogue and relationships to deliver enterprise propositions tailored to customers’ strategic needs.
- Identifying new opportunities through strategic projects to scale business with core customers.
- Developing, executing, and tracking strategic account plans, including forecasts and key performance indicators.
- Leveraging deep sector insights to uncover opportunities and address risks for customers.
- Sharing feedback and market intel with internal segments and management.
- This position offers a dynamic work environment, requiring up to 25% travel to engage with clients face-to-face, while also providing the flexibility of hybrid working.
