Compensation Range: $69,900 To $87,500
Compensation may vary based on applicant's work experience, education level, skill set, and/or location.
Job Purpose
The Inside Power Plant Service Estimator is responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for maintenance, repair, and service projects within a power plant. This role involves analyzing project specifications, assessing labor and material costs, and ensuring that estimates are accurate and competitive.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Review project specifications, blueprints, and technical documentation to understand project requirements.
• Calculate costs associated with labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
• Develop detailed cost estimates and proposals for maintenance and repair projects.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to gather necessary information and clarify project scope.
• Analyze historical data and market trends to ensure estimates are accurate and competitive.
• Prepare and present cost estimates to clients or internal stakeholders.
• Maintain a database of cost estimates, historical data, and vendor information.
• Monitor project budgets and provide updates or adjustments as needed.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent in field
• Experience: 2 -5 years in field of estimating experience, including 2 years technical training
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience in estimating within the power plant or industrial sector.
• Strong understanding of power plant operations, maintenance, and repair processes.
• Proficiency in estimation software and tools.
• Excellent analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
