We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Scientist I to join our expanding immunology team in the area of respiratory diseases. This team is dedicated to building an in vivo group focused on uncovering the underlying mechanisms of airway diseases, paving the way for developing cutting-edge therapeutics.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with in vivo studies with a focus on murine models to investigate immune responses triggered by airway exposure to allergens. We are looking for an enthusiastic, skilled scientist with a passion for bench science and a collaborative mindset. This position requires passion, attention to detail, prior hands-on experience, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Experience with in vivo animal models, especially immunological models
  • Design, execute and optimize murine in vivo models of allergen induced airway inflammation and exposure to cigarette smoke. Much of the execution will be done with our animal care team; therefore, excellent communication skills are critical.
  • Perform dosing, sample collection (BAL, blood, tissue) and non-terminal procedures in compliance with IACUC.
  • Analyze endpoints including cellular differentials, cytokine profiles and lung function.
  • Skillful in mammalian cell culture and PCR.
  • Hands-on experience with immunoassays including FACS, ELISA, MSD, WB.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records and data.
  • Analyze data and present work in internal meetings.
  • Work independently and collaboratively across several areas of the company.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with peers and their teams.

Leveling will be based off experience.

  • PhD, preferred in Molecular Biology, Immunology or other biological sciences with typically 0-4 years post-doctoral experience; or Master's Degree or equivalent with typically 8+ years of experience; or Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with typically 10+ years of experience.
  • Possess thorough theoretical and practical understanding of own scientific discipline.
