About the team
As a Senior Data Scientist within the Growth and Listings Data Science Team, you will be an integral partner to the broader Core Zillow organization. The GLDS team is an impactful ensemble of multiple key business functions, including User growth, Integrated Communications, Listing Completeness/Coverage, and Onsite Testing that acquire and engage millions of users across our platforms.About the role
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will analyze large, complex datasets to inform key business decisions and shape Zillow’s growth strategy. You will collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to improve listing coverage and user experience, and have direct exposure to senior leadership in a flat organizational structure.
You Will Get To:
Partner with Product and Engineering teams to develop and execute long-term customer strategies.
Apply advanced analytics techniques (e.g., clustering, propensity modeling, causal inference) to understand customer behavior.
Build compelling data stories and visualizations to influence decision-makers.
Design, analyze, and interpret A/B experiments to drive product improvements.
Identify, track, and report on business-critical metrics to measure impact.
Collaborate with Data Scientists to enhance data science infrastructure, including ETLs, dashboards, and experimentation platforms.
Who you are
We are looking for someone who is passionate about reporting, translating complicated data sets and business problems into easily consumable and impactful insights. You are excited to tackle complexity and new business problems. We're searching for a Data Scientist who has:
5+ years of experience as a data scientist working with large, complex datasets (e.g., clickstream data).
Strong knowledge of statistical concepts, measurement methods, A/B testing, and causal inference.
Mastery of SQL, Excel, and either Python or R; experience with visualization tools such as Tableau or Databricks.
Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills (written, verbal, and visual).
Keen understanding and experience with online products.
Nice to have: Deep understanding of the US residential real estate market.
